“the tail is a prosthetic” — just say Escoffier is a furry, this is a safe space
Collei is the perfect final boss for Fischl. She’s a former broody edgelord herself (with actual dark powers!) and that makes her one of the few people who can use the word “chuuni” with enough pity to make it hurt.
Plus, evil dark edgelord, now fallen to the side of kawaii klutzy dork? That is what a Prinzessin antagonist would have to be.
Sayu’s Vision is at its most powerful when she’s wearing her tanuki costume.1 She’s not a furry, Celestia is.

Ayato's story quest was everything Kokomi's should have been, and it hurts to find out Mihoyo was perfectly capable of writing politics and intrigue and just didn't bother in V2.1.
her quest would have been SO much better if they focused more on the peace talks and negotiations. i mean, inazuma just came out of a WAR, so there were many issues that still needed to be resolved (the damaged state of the tenryou commission, trade relations between the islands, the sovereignty of watatsumi island as an independent body with its own military, etc.) and maybe it’s just me but that stuff is very interesting and there is so much they could have done with that… but sadly it felt like a lot of it was glossed over
and instead Mihoyo reinvented spoon theory but kawaii and spent like an hour of quest time explaining that Kokomi, master general, gives her subordinates incredibly precise orders to execute to the letter after finding them in a massive tome of several hundred directives
(has anyone there read a book on military strategy? hell, has anyone at Mihoyo read a book on business management? Is this how Mihoyo’s visionary CEO works, by writing an employee handbook so detailed it micromanages everyone for him? >_>)
keep the lingering warlust in the ranks, sure, but Kokomi’s story quest should have ended with her domming the fuck out of everyone at that negotiation table. The real Kokomi would have annexed Yashiori and made Sara think she was doing the Shogunate a favour.
