one of my small haterisms is when a couple gets engaged or married and they’re like “i guess we’re stuck with each other 🤪” because no you’re not… nobody is forcing you to do this. you chose this. god forbid that the person i marry says they’re stuck with me like i’m a chore.

I was thinking about how irritating I find it to see all these people who talk and look exactly the same all the time like the labubu dubai chocolate girl dinner industrial complex etc but honestly it’s just true that the average person does not really want to think for themselves on any level and every generation has people who are legitimately charmed by consumerist trends or who just stick to them because they can’t come up with anything on their own and this one just stands out more because social media is the consumerist trend machine that rewards you for consuming trends in real time and all of this is also why people will treat you like an alien from outer space or a living prophet omniscient being if you have even remotely unique taste of your own.
