Saw this when I was in London this summer, I stopped my friend to point at it and said "holy shit it's the statue of Theseus fucking the Minotaur" in the middle of the very busy museum.

They went through the back door, missing again the enticing yet elusive branch of mistletoe. Nathan offered to hold the bowl but Max refused in case it spilled and ruined his impeccable suit.
“You’re really dressed up to the nine tonight,” Max emphasized.
Nathan feigned modesty. “This old thing?”
“Please, I bet it’s a designer piece that costs more than my loft.”
Nathan chuckled, “Depends on the size of that loft.”
“Hardy har har, you’re so funny…” Max deadpanned. “I still can tell you didn’t dress up like this for handing out prizes. It’s not the Oscars. Were you expected somewhere else?”
He shot her a sidelong glance. “You’re sharp. Have you thought about a career as a Sherlock Holmes knock off? You’d do wonders.”
Max couldn’t flip him the finger with the punch bowl in arms so she went for sticking out her tongue at him. Max immediately felt quite childish but the way Nathan was playing off of her steered that part of her to the fore front. Although, it was pretty fun to get in touch with her inner child for Christmas. It felt refreshing when her thoughts had all been melancholic and somber lately. She grinned.

It IS true that being on here gives you a tumblr accent. This morning my mother asked me something and i replied "i don't know i've never heard these words in that order" and she nearly choked laughing. It wasn't even that funny
at my old job i had a coworker who was tired and made a coffee with like 6 or 8 shots of espresso and i just casually went up to them like “are you trying to meet god?” and not only was this absolutely hilarious to them but they brought it up in future conversations they thought it was so funny but to me this was just as casual as saying “woah that’s a lot of coffee”
Being funny on Tumblr and then going to be funny in real life is like traveling to a foreign country and baby the currency exchange rate is biased in your favor

Writing is wild. One day you’re unstoppable and the next day you’re staring at your keyboard like it personally betrayed you.
Something Dragon Age: Inquisition does do so well, and still gives me shivers every single time, is the introduction of Corypheus. It is SO cinematically satisfying watching him slowly emerge from the fire. The shot of the dragon roaring with the moon in the background, ashes blowing in the wind. Corypheus lifting the Inquisitor up off the ground, with how monstrously large he is... and of course, the jaw dropping line that is, "beg that I succeed, for I have seen the throne of the gods, and it was empty." Just... holy shit.
I almost wonder if half the reason he doesn't hold up as a villain for the rest of the game is just because his first appearance is so peak it was impossible to reach again. Nevertheless, I love the quest In Your Heart Shall Burn so much. Easily one of the best in the entire Dragon Age series, let alone just this one game.
