Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry you feel you've had a poor experience.

I've checked this thoroughly on our side. We don't have any support emails on record from the email address linked to this review, which suggests your messages may not have reached us or may have been sent to an address we don't monitor for support.

In February 2025 a chargeback was raised via your bank, which we accepted, and the refund was completed in March 2025. Your subscription was also cancelled to avoid any further charges. From our perspective, that resolved the billing issue in full.

We never want anyone to feel ignored or overcharged, and we're always happy to help when we receive a support request.

Let's unpack your comments, hopefully to provide a bit of clarity.

#1. Shows/Guests Asking for Fees
Fair feedback. Fees do get flagged every so often, so we put measures in place to try to make fees transparent, like the 'May Charge a fee' tag assigned to shows/guests. There's also a filter on the show and guest searches called 'Doesn't charge a fee'. But in saying that, shows and guests can say one thing, then do another. So it's challenging to strike a balance. #2. MatchMaker.fm Subscriptions
Good point. Running a platform can be quite expensive. Servers, staff, and essential infrastructure rely on the income from MatchMaker.fm members. The funds are used to keep things ticking over and to improve what's already there. But these charges are separate from any fees a show or guest might charge, which we don't take any cut from. A 'pay-to-play' model can be quite frustrating when you're not getting the value back. So we're open to suggestions or features you think would help both you and other members.

#3. Big Shows
If Steven Bartlett were a MatchMaker.fm member, we'd never shut up about it (all staff would be forced to wear t-shirts with Steven Bartlett's face on them). Joking aside, big shows like The Diary of a CEO have reached a tipping point. Although you'll never find Joe Rogan messaging you, the goal is to connect you with the right audience for your message, which isn't always the biggest one. That's why it's important to do the legwork, listen to shows, and check their engagement to ensure it's a good fit before reaching out.
