new post, please share & help if possible
my last post has been getting 1 or 2 notes every time i reblog it so i'm remaking it. i'll try to keep this short but i doubt it
hey everyone, i'm an illustrator that's been struggling with severe burnout and progressively worsening disability since 2021. i've been fighting to get approved for disability benefits since may 2022 and have been denied 5 times already. my mother is also disabled and barely able to work (we live together), we're in a lot of debt and are struggling to stay afloat. i need to pay my mechanic over $900 to get my car fixed, yesterday my mom's car battery died on us so now she needs to scrape up $309 to get it replaced. we are struggling to afford groceries, meds, food for my cats, basically most essentials.
i've been trying to raise money for my car repairs since october and my posts keep dying and i haven't been getting much help. i've had all this shit weighing over my head for so long and it's just making me so depressed, like i'm constantly thinking about just how hopeless my situation feels. i just really REALLY need help getting out of this hole. if anyone who has the means can throw a few bucks my way i would be so so thankful. it all adds up and it really means more than i can express. please spread this wherever you can if you can't help but still want to support me. it means so much! thank you!! 🌈💖

Help Ahmed and his Father
Ahmed has been using his Tumblr accounts, @mazen-fmaily and @ahmmad-mazen78 to reach people who could help him afford his father's medical treatment. Ahmed has unfortunately lost access to both these accounts and the messages he had with the kind people who had been helping him and his father.
I'm making this post to try and help reach people who can help them while Ahmed tries to get a new account set up. Due to the internet issues in Gaza, this may take time. Time is something his father doesn't have.
Right now Ahmed needs $350 to afford medicine for his father. This is the price after transaction fees.

Nope! Not at all! Always glad to see posts like these! The main thing is the donation, and even if the person genuinely wants to brag, I am more than willing to express gratitude to them!
To me I’m glad for my people to receive help and for the people helping to feel appreciated! And it helps bring the attention to the people in need of support! It’s a major win-win in my point of view!
Just please be sure to check the charity before donating, there are several international official ones linked in my pinned post. Plus Ukrainian mutuals can reblog trustworthy charities or just collect money to help people who were injured or had their homes destroyed.
Talking about the donations you made is actually great! Seriously.
Sometimes Ukrainian twitter users even try to cancel rich Ukrainian celebrities who don’t donate or don’t talk about their donations publicly 👀
Here in Ukraine talking about your donations is very, very important. This helps “promote” the donation culture. People hear that you donated -> they are reminded about the fundraiser -> they might donate as well!
Also, people are more likely to donate when they can see that someone they know has donated as well.
We also have a saying that “small donations don’t exist”, cause even if you donated $1 that’s still very helpful. In fact, most of the budget of some famous Ukrainian charities actually comes from donations that are less than $4.
And, while we’re on the topic of donations, here are some valid, well-known and respected Ukrainian charities that I have personally donated to:

forgot how white this website is and expected there to be more uproar about the US bombing my home country, nigeria, on christmas day. my mistake!
Sokoto state, a majority Muslim state in north-west Nigeria was bombed on Christmas day.
It is still unclear how many bombs were dropped and where. Confirmed is a bomb dropped on a Mosque in Jabo, killing 5 people.
Trump has claimed that this is in retaliation of the "Christian genocide" happening in Nigeria, committed by "radical Islamists" of the ISIL (ISIS), and the specific choosing of Christmas day was to reify that this is a religious based retaliation.
This Christmas, I am in Nigeria. My family is majority Christian. We are without fear of being persecuted on the basis of our religion. So, what is going on?
There is no Christian genocide in Nigeria. Nigeria is a complex country that faces a lot of violence, exploitation and subsequent neglect from our government. But it is not Christians being targeted in our country. This insidious piece of misinformation has been dutifully organised by US officials for months and gained steam on platforms like X and Truth Social.
I do not believe though, that this action was done to fight Islamic terrorists or protect Nigerian Christians. The reason being:
Sokoto state is not a state with ISIL activity.
This is another display of US throwing its weight around, conveniently, onto the most oil-rich country in Africa.
Do not believe everything the US tells you about its foreign affairs. The US will gladly spill blood on the flimsiest of justifications just to continue gorging its empire.
Please keep love in your hearts for the Nigerian people.
