TCMAP - mutual aid project
Powderhorn Families - direct donation to families in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood so their rent and utilities are paid while they are sheltering in place during ICE deployments
Fe y Justicia - Latine aid organization that is managing rapid response in St Cloud
MN CAIR Minnesota - assisting with representation for Muslims in
Minnesota Minnesota Interfaith Coalition (ICOM) - accompanying people to USCIS appointments and on errands to keep them safe from ICE
MIRAC - THE immigrant rights org in Minnesota, doing a huge amount of rapid response and protest work in the TC
Sip of Silk - Palestinian and Salvadoran coffee house in the university neighborhood doing a direct food and hygiene products drive
Smitten Kitten - sex shop in on Lyndale and Lake doing a direct food and hygiene products drive

I haven’t been on this app in a while, but I know a Black man, Keith Porter, was murdered by ICE on New Year’s Eve (Rest in Power) in Cali. Just one of the countless Black people who’ve been murdered by ICE and other agents of the state.
I log back into this app and see the conversations around the white woman, Renee Good, who was just recently killed. And I can’t help but notice the stark difference in circulation of news and boosting of stories between both of them across this app…
Shit has BEEN happening to Black people across administrations and is currently happening to Black people under this administration, and is met by crickets. Yet when it starts touching white people, I see real anger start being felt from the gen pop followed by amplification and co-opting of Black terms and memorialization… I stg it takes everything in me to give af about yall.

Renée Nicole Good was a poet, writer, wife, and mother of three. She was killed on January 7, 2026, in Minneapolis after being shot by an ICE agent.
Born and raised in Colorado, Renée described herself on social media simply as a poet and writer and wife and mom. She studied creative writing at Old Dominion University and, in 2020, received the Academy of American Poets University & College Poetry Prize recognition that helped her work reach readers beyond her immediate community.
Those who knew her remember Renée as compassionate, loving, and deeply creative. She cared fiercely for her children, her partners, and the people around her. Her mother described her as “one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,” and loved ones say her life was shaped by caregiving, curiosity, and art.
ALTThe suffering in Gaza is not a 'weather phenomenon' or just a harsh winter. Cold doesn't kill on its own; it is the political decisions to block warmth and medicine that kill. Don't let the terminology deceive you; the tragedy is a result of aid restrictions and a siege, not just natural conditions.

I am writing these words with tears streaming down my face. I can no longer bear this pain. My wife is suffering from a severe deficiency in vitamins, especially vitamin D, and she urgently needs surgery to save her life. Her body is growing weaker day by day, malnutrition is stealing her strength, and I stand helpless watching her suffer.
