We are living in Egypt, where we lost everything in Gaza. We lost our jobs, our dreams were shattered, and everything was destroyed. I wanted to return to Gaza with my children, who came after ten years through IVF, but the war destroyed everything, and life has become even more difficult due to my back pain, in addition to my son Ahmed, who has two holes in his heart and vision problems and needs surgery and ongoing follow-up and treatment.

Every day my children wish to live in a house and to have a beautiful and peaceful life.

The hours of the night pass like years of deadly cold, with no warmth or life, all lights are off, even my inner hope fades with time.

I try all the time to reassure them and try to tell my children that we will be done with this suffering, that all this pain will end, that the warm morning sun will rise, that the long cold of the night will end, and that the fear and pain will end.
