African Wild Woof. He/Him. Old-ish. This is for reblogging because I don't really do much in the way of creating.
CSC reference tag (for stuff I might want to find later)
i know this means absolutely nothing to most people but basically all of the little web game things I’ve made recently (angels in automata, hex plant growing game, d.a.n.m.a.k.u., life music, sudoku land, the metroidvania style map editor, etc etc etc) are all entirely self-contained individual client-side html files that can be downloaded and run offline and have literally no libraries or frameworks or dependencies, because i’m an insane woman who enjoys hand coding my input handling and display code from scratch in vanilla js and having it all live in one single html file with the game logic and the page structure and the page style all just living and loving together side by side in a universal format that can be run by any web browser on any devixe. i’ll even include image files as base64 data-uri strings just to keep every single asset inside the one file.
the sudoku one is gorgeous and a really intuitive way to play sudoku
i also really love the hexplant one
(reaching the purple aquare with the three exlamation marks is how you ‘win’ this game)
this is going Around again and it is always funny to me when ppl tag it “need to try this later on my computer” babes you don’t need to wait they all work on mobile too <3

I’ve recently been made aware that if you are thinking of switching to Linux or want to switch but don’t know how there’s a great website made just to help people migrating from Windows to Linux.
The website has a long list of supporters, so if you really know nothing and / or are afraid of trying it and messing something up you will be able to get professional help from this website.
There’s even a list of places where you can go physically to get help. All over the world, not just in the USA by the way.
Say goodbye to Microsoft treating you like you don’t own your PC. Say goodbye to intrusive features you didn’t ask for. Say goodbye to ads on the OS you paid for.
Save your PCs from joining the massive amount of e-waste caused by Microsoft’s unnecessary requirements.
I am so damn pleased with the Sedgwick County Zoo media team, y’all. They just dropped a stellar blog piece on why GenAI slop videos of animals are such a problem - and how to identify them!
This is the first time I’ve ever seen a zoo or aquarium in the United States speak up broadly about AI. (The only times I can think of any comment at all has maybe individual instances when a deepfake of “their” animal escaping is circulating.) And they did a great job with this piece! It’s succinct, easy to read, and written in a way that doesn’t shame people for engaging with AI content before they knew better.
I think this is exactly the type of resource needed for sending to that family member or friend we all have - the one who isn’t aware of the slop issue and constantly sends you clearly fake videos because they’re “so cute.”
I’d love to have Sedgwick get some public positive reinforcement for taking this stance. If you’re so inclined, a comment on their FB post would be great as it’s likely they’re going to get shit for this from sloppers & co. We really do need animal organizations to stand up for accurate, real animal content and this is a great first step in that direction.
Reblogging for @cobrilee who has been having some frustrations in re cute videos/images and ai
Me upon discovering an online game that helps you learn git: haha I’ve been using git for years now, I could skip ahead many levels, methinks hahaha no, no, I’ll be humble and start on level 1
Me on level 5: You can do what??? There are commands for what???
For those that need the link and haven’t got the reblog hitting their dash: https://learngitbranching.js.org
I thought this was going to be Oh My Git! which is also fun, it helps me remember the command line stuff if I’ve been using my IDE’s GUI for a while.

As more and more people are being forced to switch to Windows 11, Microsoft’s most AI-malware-ridden OS yet, I’ve been putting together articles and links for how to undo the damage and save your battery, your RAM, your disk space, your privacy, and your sanity from this bullshit.
FIRST:
The easiest way to get rid of the majority of the bullshit that Windows is forcing on us, as of October 2025, is this one-stop-one-click debloat solution from a modern day hero:
It’s very easy, even if you’re not tech savvy or get scared of pop up windows saying “ARE YOU SURE?” Yes, you are sure, I promise. This program takes maybe two minutes and will save you SO MUCH pain, time, and money (and exploitation).
Now that you’ve done that, here’s the cleanup, to catch the little shit that the debloat might have missed (most of this will already be done by debloat, but hey, it’s good to double check).
Even just reading about some of these features makes me angry. Fucking Copilot and “Discover” AI scrapers are in Notepad. NOTEPAD. And then there’s this uncanny valley garbage:
No uncanny valley video calls for me, thanks! (Also, what else is it doing while it scans your face and listens to your calls? What else, microsoft? Because there was a lot of memory being assigned to this program for a simple “smooths your skin” add on).
The truly insane number of places they have stuck ads on your own home computer is sickening. Become Unmarketable.
Bonus:
Some background programs you probably don’t need that are taking up space and how to remove them (Microsoft forums, 2024)
Your Samsung Galaxy Phone comes with 22 apps you don’t need (Android Police, 2025)
How to disable the AI in firefox (still the only browser that lets you do this permanently) (Windows Report, 2025)

Hey. Hey! If you are assembling a burrito, put your shredded cheese directly on the tortilla and put all the other ingredients on top of that and then pan-fry it for maximum cheesy melt.
