not a big as all the other big wins tonight, but the millage renewal for the library i work at passed with 73% of the vote.
this means out library is funded for another 10 years. If it failed we would have lost 1/3 of our budget and had to slash staff, hours, collections, programs & digital resources.
we’re also in the thick of a massive renovation, which was a different funding stream but caused a lot of confusion and assholes on FB kept posting misinformation.
this is such a big relief!
support your public libraries y'all, we’re struggling but we make do!
