Disc Horse and Terms of Engagement
I realise some people don’t want to see it, so here’s the deal:
Political argumentation above a certain threshold goes on @disc-hoarse (which is a thing I hope I don’t end up becoming). By this I mean actual engaging with other users, and it doesn’t matter whether the argument is mine or between other people.
Opinionated Posting (again, including no-new-content reblags) on some topics can be moved there by request. Such requests made anonymously may be published; others will not without specific approval from the requester (but may be anonymised and announced). One request should be enough, and I will endeavour to put any future posts of this kind on disc-hoarse. As of the latest update to this page, the list of topics for which I have received such requests is empty.
Whether here or there, certain policies apply. Notably, absolutism and denial of nuance are blocking offences, as detailed here.
If you think inaction is inherently morally neutral, chances are I think you’re a fool; inaction is the choice for the predictable consequences of inaction to occur, and unless metaethics is the actual topic of discussion, I’m not willing to debate on that point.
