My cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism recently. This has required many tests & consultations with other veterinarians. Having a policy with Pumpkin saved me a LOT of worry & anxiety, without this policy, I don’t know how I would’ve afforded her care.
I submitted my veterinary bills to them & within three days, I received payment from them. They do pay ninety percent of what they cover & they cover a lot! I definitely recommend Pumpkin’s pet insurance. It saved me a lot of worry!

I've had 2 dogs on Pumpkin plans for just shy of 1 year. At the time I received their renewal notice for the poicies, I had only filed one claim on one dog that did not exceed the deductible, and zero claims for the 2nd dog. Both dog's policy premiums were going up 53%. I find that ridiculous for the circumstances.

They tried to ask me to stay with their generic copy/paste explination from AI Google about how industry costs are rising... etc. I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician who's worked at ER's and GP clinics, as well as both privately owned and corporate owned hospitals. Nothing has changed so drastically in the past 12 months to justify this increase. Especially on customers who haven't been reimbursed for anything the entire year.

That's a surefire way to lose business. And that's what happened. I canceled and went back to Nationwide. I hope they don't do that with my cats when it comes time for renewal. It's making me be cautious about getting any new policies with them as well.

I have filed another claim since that time and recieved payment in a couple days. I would have kept the policies and given a 5-star review if they had not increased the premiums so drastically without valid justification.

Having adopted a new rescue dog, I needed but was unfamiliar with pet insurance. My vet recommended that I look at several companies. Ultimately, I chose Pumpkin because of their coverage of dentals, which for small dogs are commonly needed but which can be really expensive. True to their word, they covered the dental needed by the dog without any issues. Other smaller claims have also been handled without a hitch and in a timely fashion. So far, I am very happy with them.

I personally feel the insurance gives me peace of mind. Knowing if my dog has a serious health issue, as my previous dog did, I will not have to pay as much. The insurance refunds me almost immediately after I file a claim. I highly recommend Pumpkin Pet insurance.

I've been with Pumpkin Insurance for several years now. Two dog insured. When I had to file a claim, they made it easy. They have an online option and great customer support. I used both and they had my claim approved and paid within 24hours. Some insurance companies don't have the same breadth of coverage that Pumpkin has or they have much longer waiting periods. I rarely write reviews, but if you are searching for Pet Insurance, be sure to look into Pumpkin.
