my hottest take is that courtney is visually impaired because of long-term exposure to the staff. there’s a reason why jack wore goggles aside from just “they look cool as hell” and it was to protect his eyes from the Literally Blinding Stick which courtney just… Did Not Do. so. she definitely has some kind of visual impairment from the bright light.

(before he died (F) ted also had flash blindness/photokeratitis for a similar reason.)
