Hi! So unfortunately, I do use a few different brushes nowadays, however the good news is, is that my favorite brush is still in the first brushpack that’s on my blog. It’s the #2 brush in:

    https://donc-desole.tumblr.com/post/29000588596/haha-well-sadly-i-own-only-a-copy-of-photoshop

I will do my best to make a new brushpack post when I get the chance. But, the #2 brush is my most used and the most versatile brush that I have :) my other favorite brush is one that was created by Peleng (Sergey Kolesov) one of my biggest inspirations from early on. I believe the brush is still on his website. Hope this helps!  :)

  • Love your art! Percy has become one of my favorite creepers and it's easy to get invested in his shenanigans. Always a joy to see more Bloodborne (or moreso Alfred) art too.

Hi! Haha, Thanks Anon!  I’m glad Percy is an easy guy to get behind, despite being a bit of a wacko at times lol. It’s been a bit of a slow month and a half for me, but not to worry, the mood hasn’t left me, so there will be more Bloodborne art and content yet to come!

  • i have no idea how I got sucked into this world of OCs you have created, but here I am at 1AM desperately searching for more fan art and fanfiction. I have to be up at 6 tomorrow, bUT I CANT STOP

  • Sorry this is kinda long paddy 21and wesley 25 and 28 please!

    Paddy 21

Paddy is probably the most levelheaded, kindhearted individual one will ever meet. He’s the atypical wise sage of the group that no one was really prepared for. Paddy can be found dolling out advice in times of need and is a genuinely calming presence.  That said, the man is absolutely terrifying when pushed. Luckily, Paddy’s only ever angry when faced with saving someone’s arse, when his loved ones are threatened or when, on occasion, he’s way past his limit and a bloke managed to push the right buttons.

    Wesley 25, 28:

Wesley is a classic stick in the mud, but he does have his shining moments when harry manages to get him to come out of his shell a bit. His humor is biting and sarcastic, and would easily offend most anyone. So it’s probably for the best that Wes keeps his humor behind lock and key, unless of course, he’s surrounded by close friends.

Wesley has a deep fear of bodily injury ever since his hand injury. Wes was always a careful child, and his accident only exacerbated his timid nature around such things. He is often weary of getting hurt and of seeing his loved ones hurt, a sentiment that almost entirely goes over Harry’s head.

  • honestly, i can't imagine a completely evil percy cus like you said, he's morally ambivalent af. i see him as secretly rebellious - doing his job as a med officer & all that entails, but also using his position/info to work against the nazi party as a whole. sorta like "i hate my bosses but love my job", "i'm a doctor, i'm saving more lives this way" & "mess w/ my patients or staff & i'll gut you." cold logic, selfishness & personal ideology, wrapped up in deceptively soft but cunning doctor.

Haha very true! Percy is definitely someone who operates from his own moral code and mostly on his own behalf. He may be a bit clinical in his opinions, but he’s very compassionate and goes out of his way to do right by his patients and anyone he cares about. I find him intriguing as a character because he’s unorthodox and reserved yet empathetic in his own roundabout way. He’d definitely wreck dudes over his clinic and patients haha. Lol I love that description, ‘deceptively soft but cunning doc’ !

  • Sorry I have to unfollow since you made your oc a nazi. Obviously you havent shared the whole story yet but it really makes me uncomfortable that your main oc in your artwork is a nazi especially with so many people aiming to promote such hateful views.

Well, he is German. The SS uniform, I tossed in there as an experiment, while I and my friend were toying with the idea of an evil Percy, but that’s a discussion for another time lol. I imagine if Percy had served he’d have most likely been at a field hospital or a Casualty Clearing Station typically staffed by the regular army, Wehrmacht, and headed by a Medical Corps captain or major.

  • 4 and 28 for Percy please!

    4. Percy was very close to his parents, but more so with his father, who he lost at a young age after the family immigrates to England. His mother later marries an Englishmen, a school teacher, who genuinely encourages Percy in his studies and any odd fancy, despite him steadily becoming a rather aloof youngster. His stepfather is often overly kind to Percy and the both of them get on amicably, though sometimes as something of professionals, rather than family. He gives Percy his space and small duties around the house, and Percy is always happy to tote around his baby sister when the parents are away at work.

    28. Percy isn’t as much ‘afraid’ of anything as much as he is avoidant of certain things, mostly of others and social life in general. He’s not naturally trusting and has learned to keep his guard up almost indefinitely. Despite working hard to remove the need for social contact, he is afraid of losing those closest to him, and dotes on close relations at length, sometimes obsessively so, though with an air of deliberate but mostly feigned indifference.

  • 31 and 39 for harry!

    31. Outside of the house, Harry’s definitely ‘Mr. Suave’ and almost never seen without a tumbler of something in his hand. He’s definitely a brandy kinda guy, but will happily drink most anything once… and then some, if it’s actually any good.  Drunken Harry is full of bad ideas, energy and endless banter. He’s jolly and teasing, and will chase any tail that gets within his radar. Hungover, he’s incredibly chipper for someone who got sloshed the night before, and usually can be found nursing his friends back to some level of coherency come morning. However, if it’s Peach who’s drunk, Harry swings between the a most dedicated wingman to something of a dastardly older brother.

    39. Harry’s not much for writing letters, unless there’s a fair dame involved. He’s most likely to show up at your house than ring you prior.

  • 47 and 49 for peaches!

    47. Wesley typically shows up to soirees in nothing short of an opera-esque tailcoat complete with white tie.  He’s not much for style, but he does derive glee from looking prim and proper and ‘at his best.’ That’s probably the only thing that keeps him from declining most invitations, though he knows there’s no saying no to Harry when he’s got a new ‘idea.’ So most days, he makes due with simply complaining.

    49. Wes’ most prized possession is definitely his violins, though he’s awkwardly attached to most of his furniture as well. He also keeps his old uniform affectionately hung in an empty closet outside his study.

  • Hey just curious out of these four ocs whose older; percy wesley paddy or harold? Like I thought they were all generally in their 30's but after that photo you posted of young percy I'm not sure anymore 😂. Thank you, have a great day!

Hey! Haha yeah, so for the most part their ages are as follows (give or take a few years depending on the event/period):

    Harry: 35-36

    Wesley: 36-37

    Percy: 39-40

    Paddy: 45-46

PS Percy’s about 29-30 in the recent pic I posted :)

  • Man I love your dudes but I'm a bit confused, could you pls tell me more or less what's the plot?

  • doncdesole replied

Heya Anon! Apologies it’s taken me so long to get around to the many asks I’ve recieved, but I’m slowly making my way through them :)

Aww, thank you so much! I’m glad to hear that you enjoy the characters! The plot is more character driven than anything else, but the basic premise is that it follows a division of the British army during the Peninsula War in the early Napoleonic era and on through to the end of Waterloo. Basically it follows Wesley, newly-minted infantry Major, and his decided struggles at his post. He’s joined by his buddy and local Cavalry Captain Harold, Paddy a Highlander Guardsmen who Wesley personally promotes as thanks for saving his life at the beginning of the story, Percival, one of the division’s staff surgeons and others the group meets along the way. There are a few key plot points that I’ve got in mind for the second half and end of the story, but I’ve still a long ways to go to flesh  everything out.

For the most part, these characters started out as a means for me to make gags and jokes, but somehow grew into something more lol. There are also a handful of AUs for these guys. Mainly, there’s a Victorian AU that follows Wes as he winds up in search of a willing doctor to help rehabilitate his hand after a  hunting accident. He’s referred to Percy by a friend and despite his shrinking inheritance, he sets out to try and nurse his injured hand to a level that allows him to continue playing music.  Percy of course, is nothing but elated to have a willing and mostly clueless test subject to study for a while. Despite the two initially butting heads, they wind up finding common ground and even a degree of comfort in one another. There’s also a Modern AU that I’ve not yet mentioned but have posted a few doodles from. It’s set in London, at the Surgeon’s college. There’s a gag that Percy is mistaken by the populace at large for being a homeless man, rather than a prof at the place, as his appearance becomes progressively more disheveled as the semester drags on. There’s more to that one but I won’t get into it now.

Apart from that, the plot for the most part serves the characters’ personal growth, as they are intended to have debilitating flaws through which they have to either worth through or wind up making their own lives a personal hell until they figure it out lol. That said, nearly all the personal details about their backgrounds, families and personalities are for the most part considered canon and fluid across the main plot and the AUs :)

I hope that helps a little bit, I understand i haven’t divulged a whole lot about these guys or their world yet, but I’d like to thank you for being patient and curious about the lads! I’m always happy to answer questions regarding them and the story! Even if it takes me a little while to get around to it, I’m very humbled that you guys find something to enjoy about my dweebs <3

  • Oh my god, that fanfiction your friend wrote was amazing. You mentioned they have written more? Are you able to share more? Please? Their style of writing, and the characterization I imagined of Percy and Wesley is spot on and just so well written.

PS they’re all insanely good a;ldfsjsk

  • i've begun listening to a medical history comedy podcast and it's helped me realize how "unique" percy'd be in the victorian era lol. a spotless office when germ theory wasn't popular and antisepsis was barely a thing? maybe percy was ahead of his time or had an early form of mysophobia. also, i can't imagine he cared much for hysteria - a woman not acting "agreeably"? hysterical paroxysms as "treatment"? i can see him inviting a female patient's husband in for "treatment aptitude" lessons lol.

Haha, Percy would. He is far too impatient for the era’s many useless practices. While they may be steeped in tradition, in his eyes, they’ve have yet to prove their effectiveness. Percy’d have no patience for doing anything for ‘sensibility’s sake’.  He’d sooner call in a couple to settle their differences in the only manner that made sense to him, than trudge through Victorian era medicinal backwards thinking.

Lol, I hadn’t noticed, but Percy is fast becoming the au’s ressident sex therapist hahah. welp.
