Fwiw I had illidude as far back as 2015 so he’s been around for a lil while, but I can’t possibly be the first/only person to have a surfer/stoner elf character. Quel’thalas is surrounded by coastlines so there’s probably been LOTS of beach bum elves (+ stoner elves are literally canon so there’s that part lol). Heck, Cory had a lot of beach friends back in the day! and he is definitely NOT the only surfer elf around today cuz even Blizzard made one.

This is right outside Yojamba Isle, back when the Zandalari were inhabiting it and it was a quest hub in Vanilla. I had a friend stand on shore and then dueled him to get this pose. :D
Najan and Nadizel, a couple of my night elf characters. Najan is riding Sleet, his frostsaber, and Nadizel is riding Trounce, her Winterspring frostsaber. I included Najan by himself because poor Sleet is blocked by Trounce and Nadizel.
Nadizel is Najan’s little sister, and she has accomplished much more than her lazy older brother. I played Najan to 60 in Vanilla, then switched to Nadizel and consider her my main character, mainly because she gets all the raiding opportunities.

I did this back in January and submitted it to the World of Warcraft fanart tribute book… but now it’s May and I haven’t heard from them so I assume I didn’t get in. Oh well! That means I can post this now, heh.

Hahahaha omg look at this! Calicougar did a drawing of Najan being his lazy-ass self while his albino drake fishes for him. This is so typical of him; if he isn’t hurtling backwards into lava or surfing, he’s napping while his pets do all the work for him. This is amazing and I must pay her back somehow. :D

RNG loves me. Only 146 eggs, thank goodness. Najan is such a lucky bastard, I swear. Good thing too considering how lazy he is.
Here’s a story about how much of a noob I was back when I first started playing WoW. (I’ve been playing since open beta/launch.) I was on my hunter Najan and in a Stratholme group with my friend Nycthel. Destiny dropped from some trash. It was the first epic I’d ever seen. This was very very early WoW, I had never stepped foot in Molten Core and was all in blue gear. DESTINY. Hunters could wield two-handed swords at that point, and my friend Nycthel (who was a rogue, and thus could not wield a 2H sword) urged me to roll on it.
Now at that point, hunters had several melee attacks- raptor strike, mongoose bite, and wing clip. It was possible to fight as a melee hunter but highly inefficient. But here was my friend urging me to roll on this sword. So I did, and I managed to win it over a paladin. Back then everyone was a noob though, and aside from making sure I equipped it, no one complained that a hunter had won that weapon. Nowadays people would scream bloody murder (and of course I’d know better than to roll on such a weapn, haha!)
I put the Crusader enchant on my new Destiny. Hahaha!
I still have this sword; it sits in Najan’s bank and I cherish it as my very first epic EVAR.
The funny thing is, this screenshot is so old I don’t recall that bear pet at all. And I believe Najan’s gloves and boots are Beaststalker, back when the set was blue and not the yellow-olive set it is today. I kind of preferred the blue. :/
Terrablast wanted me to post some of the commissions I’ve gotten from people. I’ve commissioned a few drawings of my night elf hunter Najan. Najan is lazy, friendly, and a bit of a goofball; my friends also like to call him gormless. :( He cheerfully launches himself backwards off cliffs into lava and gets himself stuck in the weirdest places. He was my first WoW character and I lub him.
This commission was by Danielle Brown and holy moly she captured his personality really well. Here he is trying to put a pimp hat on his favorite pet, a hyena named Pinduli. Poor Pinduli.

I’ve always thought Loque'nahak is an absolutely hideous model. The color is cool but the model itself is hideous. Najan wouldn’t be caught dead with that cat… but then his favorite pet is his hyena, so I guess he can’t talk.

Najan on the left, Jay on the right. Jay is my partner in crime for stupid pointless grinding things. We did Insane in the Membrane together, ground out mounts (so many Anzu runs omg), ground out pets… we’re both a bit insane.
