I haven’t written anything in so long so this is my first thing back after a long hiatus, and I hope you guys like it!!
I can’t stop thinking about Nancy and Ace and I had to write something even though it is slightly angsty.
Nancy Drew Season 3
Okay, let’s talk about it.
First, to all the anons complaining about the show-we know who you are. It’s the same 5 people complaining on every platform possible, and just bc you are on anon doesn’t mean we don’t know who you are. So stop harassing people with your complaints, because no one cares about what you’re saying and you’re wrong!
So, Nancy, let’s let her have sex with who she wants. Stop shaming women, or anyone for that matter, because of how many partners they choose to have. People are allowed to enjoy having sex, stop trying to act like that’s a bad thing because you’re just being an asshole.
As for Nace, we all ship them, we all want them together. It’s very clear to most people that nace has been pushed all season long. I recommend rewatching season 3 and with a more open mind, then you’ll pick up on it. One of most peoples favorite things about nace is how good the slow burn is. If you don’t like that, then maybe watch something else. This is such a masterful example of the slow burn, the friends to lovers trope, and season 3 only exemplifies that.
Park’s character is WONDERFUL! JHK is WONDERFUL! Not to mention he’s a foil for Ace’s character. As @parkersedith said, Park is perfect for Nancy ON PAPER (don’t try to attack me on anon, just try to comprehend what this means), but Ace is the one she’s meant to be with, the one who fits better with her. So it’s actually very interesting to see it all play out this season, from that perspective.
Lastly, this is Nancy Drew, a tv show about multiple characters and multiple plots. It’s not going to be just about Nancy and Ace. People are fans of this show because they love all the characters equally and enjoy the themes and storylines. If you are hating on Nancy for finding Park attractive, or upset with the show for focusing on the other characters too, then you aren’t watching for the same reasons we are, and I personally don’t want to converse with you, and I’m sure others feel the same.

“I didn’t know I had particular faces for those things.” Nancy murmurs, a slight flush coloring her cheek that is only deepened when Bess chimes in.
“I always thought you had just the one face you make when you’re putting things together, Nancy.” Bess gives a mischievous smile. “How many faces do I have during our mysteries, Ace? As my platanchor, you should know that.”

And that was the issue: she was protecting her heart against the brash and the heedless, defense mechanisms meant to push away those who gave up easily. She had never considered protecting it from someone who was determined and patient, someone who stuck around no matter how much resistance, someone who made her smile when she thought it was impossible. Nancy never had a chance against falling for Ace.

Ace pauses for a moment and studies her. She lets him. “It’s my mom’s favorite band, too.” And, for some reason, it feels like he’s admitting something too.
Then he holds out a hand. “May I have this dance?”
She gives him a look. “This isn’t exactly a ballroom.”
