The guy that was shot in the face, who now is blind in one eye, for protesting ICE: is a trans man. Even, permanently half-blinded, he is talking about protesting ICE. So anyone who says trans men aren't out there fighting the good fight and putting their lives on the line to protect others or if they get into politics will only use their power to harm other marginalized folks, needs to take all the seats.
(Also, this was in California, for those who forget that transandrophobia and racism are everywhere and Blue states aren't inherently safe).
His name is Kaden Rummler (21) [ CBS ]
Britain Rodriguez (31) was also shot in the eye and partially blinded by federal agents at the same demonstration [ LA Times ]
According to the Times article there is video of Rummler being shot where Rodriguez can be heard screaming in the background as Rummler falls to the ground.
Both of these men, a trans man and a man of color, were permanently injured for daring to protest ICE.

This piece of art has been my banner here maybe since it was first made, it was an art trade with Jazz from 2021 and maybe one of the most thoughtful pieces of art I have ever received from someone.
So much detail and consideration was put into this rendition of a very old design of mine I made in 5th grade, but this level of consideration was present throughout all of the work they did for people.
I know I am not the only one who was affected deeply and inspired by this wonderful person. We hadn't talked in a few years and I never wanted to bother them. I noticed that they were archiving so much of their work, and their website even in the last few weeks.
As devastated as I am about this, I can only imagine how their partner, family, and closer friends in the last few years are feeling. Please extend support to their partner, at toyhou.se/mafreidyne

anyone claiming that terfs "protect the medical rights of transmascs/afabs/natal females" is either a terf or extremely susceptible to their rhetoric. First off, wanting to make ftm transition illegal is going against people's medical rights. Second, it takes literally any degree of pushback for the "women supporting women" veneer to drop off and them to say that actually, trans men getting denied healthcare is just them fucking around and finding out. Ask them how their "no males at the gynecologist" plans account for trans men with M in their papers and they'll gleefully tell you that in their perfect system, trans men won't be able to change their sex assignment at all. The average terf's solution to trans men and transmascs being denied so-called women's healthcare is forced detransition.
