sitting on the floor drying my jeans (wet) (denim) (wet denim) because i had to clean out a stain (cranberry sauce) i spilled on them (accident) because i was eating at my desk and fucked up cutting my food so badly that i flipped my entire plate of food directly into my lap (onto my jeans) (cranberry sauce) (on the denim) and then i had to handwash out the stain (sticky) in the sink (with soap) because my only other pair of jeans is in the laundry (also wet) (more wet denim) and now i have nothing to wear tomorrow so i have to get this one dry because it is currently less wet (the other one is also wet) (due to being in the laundry) and i need something to wear tomorrow that isn’t wet (it is cold out) so i am sitting here (on the floor) with a hairdryer drying my jeans (wet) and it turns out denim does not dry very well but we prevail.
pros of my thesis #mythesis: i get to spend several pages ragging on genAI (academically)(with sources). cons of my thesis: this segment is called “chancen und risiken” and i have so far failed to include any chancen

hello monolingual english speaker. in front of you is a meme in a romance or germanic language that shares many cognates with english. your task is to reblog it without adding comments such as “i can understand this lmao”, “i don’t speak spanish but i still know what this says” (**goes doubly if the post is not in spanish), or “posts that transcend language”. good luc– no it’s too late they’ve done it again. goddamnit

hi. I spent entirely too much time on writing all this up but also I had a lot of fun with it. read my 3000 words of music post, boy. (& make sure to check the reblogs for the full version - I ran out of slots for videos to add)
So! Ordem OST. I want to talk about Veríssimo and Arnaldo’s respective leitmotifs, where they show up in the OST, how they vary across different tracks, and how this lets the music reflect the characters as well!
Disclaimers: I do not claim to be an expert in music theory, nor do I claim this to necessarily be fully accurate. I'm also sure this has probably all already been said at some point - this is just me having fun based on my own observations.
Major spoilers for Desconjuração, Calamidade, O Segredo na Ilha, Sinais do Outro Lado and Hexatombe, as well as some minor ones for Enigma do Medo, ahead.
---

There’s less tracks here to analyse than for Veríssimo and Arnaldo themselves, because this shift to the motifs representing Arthur and Dante instead has mostly happened over the course of the spinoffs, which have not actually featured either of them apart from cameos/guest appearances. But it’s still there, and I’m going to talk about that now!

CORRECTION TO 2.3.1: SORRY I LIED that is not a C-B. i got too excited and misheard a note. that is an E. not a C. so that is not actually arnaldo’s theme in the piano. i appear to have invented that by accident.
(however the good news is that the overall point of that part of the analysis still holds! because the SDOL Veríssimo theme is still in the Arnaldo key - Arnaldo is just not as explicitly present in the theme as i initially claimed)
