hi! sorry to bother but youre one of the few german speaking ppl i know and i saw youve been liveblogging about some moments with hugo
so! my question is, ive noticed that hugos pronouncing ch as more like softer sch, is that common for luxembourgian german speech? maybe theres some differences you can notice in his speech that are different from yours for example? :0
hi it’s not a bother at all!!! I’m admittedly not 100% sure what you’re referring to with the ch thing, do you have a concrete word/sentence as an example (because “ch” can make multiple sounds in german so I’d need context)?
As for Luxembourg German: I don’t know any language quirks for German spoken in that area specifically - not that they don’t exist, I’m sure they do, but I live nowhere near Luxembourg and am not that well versed in dialects lol. but in general the way Hugo talks is different to mine in that he is very like. imagine the most stereotypical teenage gamer man. that is how he talks. like off the top of my head his use of slang words like “digga” and “geil” and “realtalk” and “check” is very typical of the type of German that I myself do not speak but is exactly what I’d expect to hear from someone who fits the description of “20 year old german speaking male twitch streamer” yk
