For those that have had a teeth clean up at the dentist, how much would you say it hurts?

6. silberfell said: Depending on the one who cleans. I felt mildly uncomfortable or it hurts like hell. No inbetween. For the high sounds I use earphones and music to tune it out

14. amatheuz said: As the GF I can say I’d prefer a couple of punches to the nose than this. Oddly enough is less the gums and more the teeth themselves that hurt. Yes the gums kind of but the nerves inside the teeth are screeching all the time.

22. silverfang6 said: partially genetics, but it can also hurt a lot if you don’t floss / don’t brush near your gums enough / brush too gently. you end up with soft sensitive gums, and more stuff that needs to be removed. so the cleaning takes much longer and they’re poking and prodding around in there and it sucks lol

26. batterwitch said: I actually kind of like the feeling, but the cleaning is really high pitched for my ears. Meanwhile my husband hates it the most of any doctor, but his family is all the same way. They definitely have more sensitive teeth (but get less cavities? Ok)
