Beauty and the Beast AU With Riku x Kairi? Gonna have to rotate this...

Kairi does see through the cursed Ansem SOD form in KH2 so falling in love with a Beast does work. She doesn't really want to leave her home for a "great wide somewhere", at least at the start. Unless there's something that she traded her freedom for. And so far that's Sora. He would definitely run into the scary castle for adventure.

Would Sora be Gaston? Like a nice Gaston that everyone insists that are "Perfect together" and should settle down? They're not quite compatible and that's fine.

And obviously Maleficent would be the Fairy that cursed Riku. Simple. What would be the Rose? A paopu flower?

Or maybe it's his Heart getting swallowed by Darkness and he needs a Light to purify it? But that's Maleficent's PLAN. to lure a Princess of Light in and trap her for power. So Riku is pissy because he's putting someone innocent in danger.

Riku might not need the Castle Staff, he's pretty much works alone except for Mickey...maybe his servants are them (Mickey, Minnie, goofy, Donald, chip and dale etc.) and they got turned into cartoony animals instead of Beasts like Riku.

...so. the Destiny Trio might have to talk for a second but THEN they fight a dragon.
