I’ve been wanting to experiment with some different brushes and thicker lines in my digital art lately, and since I’ve had my A:TLA/LoK Swap AU on the brain this week, I figured I’d experiment by drawing a scene from it!

For context, in this AU, Korra is Aang’s predecessor who must stop a century-long war started by the Earth Kingdom, while Aang is Korra’s successor who must learn to navigate a world that’s facing rapid modernization and change. The Avatar cycle in this AU is reversed, so the order of the elements is Air, Fire, Earth, Water, and Avatar Pavi is the Avatar before Korra.

I wanted this scene to be reminiscent of the scene where Aang meets Avatar Roku at the Crescent Island Fire Sage Temple for the first time. I imagine that Korra would have to do something similar to contact Pavi for the first time, like maybe sneaking into that Earth Kingdom temple we get a glimpse of in A:TLA S1E3 (the one with the murals of all the Earth Avatars).

I really would like to start writing and posting a fic for this AU at some point because I’m starting to get very invested lol
