FARA is Kristan Harvey, Jeana Leslie and Catriona Price’s three fiddles combined with Rory Matheson’s piano. The quartet produces a fiery sound rooted strongly in their upbringing among the music of Orkney.
FARA perform a mixture of self-penned and traditional Orkney tunes as well as stunning vocals.

The composition of all the tracks are extremely thought out and executed perfectly especially the ones that incorporate two tunes. The track i feel shows this is at their best is June's Garden/Pockets.

I recently discovered Lauren MacColl and can't stop listening to her albums, especially The Portage, The Seer, and Landskein. Her gorgeous music is perfect for winter here in the Pacific Northwest. I am so thankful for how she has enriched our gray days, which are lovely in their own way but lovelier when graced with her evocative tunes. I hope I can someday see her play live.
