Going from Parepare to Sleman and back again, Ame travelled a long way and spent a lot of time when he stayed in Nologaten for his studies. No one expected that, in the middle of his journey, a short melody would softly emerge from his boarding house room. Without long durations or complicated lyrics, Ame poured his hopes and regrets into ‘Wasted Years’ through The Pure.
I figured this out after talking to him on my phone and reading the lyrics and profile of The Pure, which I discovered on Bandcamp under the name Ame Ahmad during a boring moment at office. Immediately, I fell in love with what he was doing through The Pure, whose name was given just about a month before the release.
