Collection? Only one? Good catch!
Something new we're trying this year is merging both the SFW and NSFW collections together.
The reasons for separating them have always been slightly convoluted and since AO3 already provides the tools to separate mature and explicit content when browsing, it's become increasingly obvious that the cons of having two collections outweigh the pros.

My OC doesn’t have a significant other, can I still participate? Of course! OCkiss is not restricted to romantic kisses - they can be friendly, they can be familiar, they can just be kissing their pet!
Can I use other people’s OCs? If they have stated that their OCs are up for grabs for this event, of course! If you’re not sure, please, please always ask the OC’s owner first.
Can I offer my OCs for other people to play with during the event? Yes. If you want to use a template you can find one here, although it’s not mandatory.
I’m a bit lost and don’t know what to create! You can ask other people for prompts, make your own, or follow the official #ockiss26 prompt list down below!
Can I participate with OCxCanon!character content? No.

One Month Left!

Gifts are due on February 13th and will be revealed on Valentine’s Day, so if you haven’t yet, start creating!

Gifts are to be posted on Ao3, you can cross-post them on any additional sites on or after the 14th, but they must be posted to the Ao3 collection by the 13th of February. For media like pictures, audio and video, you can post them (or draft on tumblr) to a different site first and then embed the upload to Ao3. This Ao3 work explains how to do it for pictures and this one for audio and video. If you need any addition help with this, please ask.

If you won’t be able to complete your assignment, please let mods know as soon as possible. It would be great if you can figure out a pinch hitter yourself, you can find some available pinch hitters in the notes of this post and of course if you know anyone else in your giftee’s fandoms that is available to pinch hit that works too. If you can’t find someone, again tell mods here on tumblr or via email, and we will try to figure something out.

[Announcement] we're back for 2026!

This has already technically been announced but new year new yuri so we're making it totally official 🪻✨

For those not in the know, the femslash big bang is a multi-fandom is a big bang event that focuses on getting creators (artists and writers) to make more femslash works! Beginning in 2014, taking an accidentally too long hiatus between 2018 to 2024, the Femslash Big Bang is back again for our SIXTH big bang.

It's a labour of love of the game (yuri) and a desire to see more fannish works that are femslash-centric. Please come join us for another fun year of femslash!

We also do prompt-based monthly challenges happening during the year, along with a few rollover weeks for those who may have missed out on a monthly challenge or want another go at an old prompt.
