Well, sort of!
My current project is writing the story of Earthbound as if it was a 52-episode cartoon/anime. The challenge of turning each story beat into a proper three-act half-hour episode is leading to some absolute chaos and it’s delightful. I’m sure I’ll share some previews once it’s closer to premier time.
The original intention was for it to be more on the comedic side, and while a lot of the humorous/parody elements of the game are ramped up to 11, it’s going all Earthbound on me and I can’t help but think about all the ways these kids are going to struggle.
So yeah, our little repressed faux-British boarding school nerd who’s used to pretending his lot in life is decent or acceptable isn’t going to last long once Paula gets wind of how he’s treated.
