i did some spinning earlier today (handspinning) (the gotland lamb/rambouillet i got the mill to blend for me, where the two fibres are different enough that they don’t slide past each other smoothly and i can’t quite keep up an unsupported long draw indefinitely—many minute forward-hand adjustments are necessary even for a relaxed woolen singles of imperfect evenness) (my left hand being the forward hand) (on the electric wheel) listening to an arthur russell record my sister gave me (she is cooler than me) (open vocal phrases where songs come in and out) and felt fully jacked into the mainframe the entire time with those sounds coming out of the walls of my living room and that texture running between my fingertips. so that’s my recommended pairing for the day.
