About
My name is Sky, and I have a passion for telling stories differently. For me, the only paths are the ones less travelled, or not travelled at all. I go to places no-one else will, ask questions no-one else will, entertain ideas and themes no-one else will, and usually look at things from perspectives other than the obvious or familiar ones. This has led me to cultivate worlds and tones and concepts and characters you’re highly unlikely to encounter anywhere else, exploring identity, intimacy, relationships and cultures in whole new ways. Subversive and challenging, yet full of warmth and heart, these are stories from far outside the box.

The Midnight Girls
Lucy and Zoe like to slip out at night, sneak away from their homes and into the comforting darkness, seeking peace and quiet and a chance to simply be themselves, away from the stresses of family, bullies and school. They started small, but the thrill of illicit behaviour and clandestine adventure quickly drove them to take greater and greater risks.
They stayed out longer and longer, ventured further and further afield, and finally, after a skinny dip at a local pool awakens a shared love of life au naturelle, took to shedding their clothes as much as they dared. It was risky, yes, but worth it to feel so alive.
Tonight they’re feeling especially adventurous, leaving their clothes at home while they head to the woods to look for mushrooms, blissfully unaware someone else is waiting for them there, a guileless innocent who sets them on a long and eventful path through one strange encounter after another to a startling revelation about the village they call home, and almost certain exposure. This is the night everything changes…

Moonglade
The Moonglade Archipelago is in a precarious position. A little over a century ago, a living nightmare and his spellbound army cut a bloody swathe across the islands, searching for a myth. The cost was unimaginable, the ripples still felt, the scars still raw. A fractured world could shatter entirely under the stress of the powerful interests determined to exploit it; tear apart at the seams, beyond all hope of recovery.
As vain a cause as it may seem, however, there are those determined to find a way to heal the wounds, to bring the Archipelago together. A family still haunted by the horrors their ancestor wrought, straining to make amends; a lone wanderer, trying to find themselves, making a difference wherever they go; a lowly, troubled guard and a dashing rogue, bound together in resisting a ruthless, ambitious tyrant; a pair of drifting innocents looking for somewhere to wash up, unaware of the parts they have to play; and that’s just scratching the surface.
Welcome to a rich, layered, waterborne world of vibrant cultures, powerful secrets, breathless adventure and remarkable creatures; a world with magic radiating from every facet; a world where dreams are chased, and nightmares lurk, and presences as ancient as life itself just might be stirring.
Welcome to Moonglade, a fantasy epic more than two decades in the making. Will be available for purchase when finally completed.
