Our experience with SeamlessChex—specifically through Douglas Kelsey—has been a lesson in poor sales ethics and even worse follow-through.

Before signing, there was constant pressure to move fast, including repeated claims that processors like Stripe were about to shut down large numbers of merchant accounts and that we needed to act immediately. Legitimate concerns were brushed off with statements like “it doesn’t matter” and assurances that issues could be “fixed later.” Once we moved forward, that urgency disappeared entirely.

After signing, communication essentially stopped. Messages went unanswered for over a month, there were no proactive updates, no clear status, and no accountability. The same person who pushed hardest to close became unreachable afterward.

We attempted to escalate beyond Douglas by contacting the CEO, Evan Albert, and received no response.

High-pressure sales followed by ghosting, shifting explanations, and zero transparency is not how a serious payments company should operate. If you value professional onboarding, clear communication, and basic responsiveness—proceed with caution.
