Hello my friends and loyal fans.
At the advice of a an award-winning author whose speech I recently went to, I am taking the first step. He said if you have a goal, don't keep waiting and waiting and waiting for it to come to pass. Get out there and start working now, or it'll never happen. My goal is to one day quit my day job (teaching), and to write furry stories full time, and this announcement is that first step.

The goal of this Patreon is to allow a place where you can make a small commitment to support me as an author. I've posted 228 stories in the last seven years, most of which were absolutely free of charge, and some of which were commissions. While I was greatly aided by my previous donations system, I will not be able to make writing my full-time career without more stable and predictable income.
I believe my work is valuable. If half of everyone watching me pledged one dollar per story I released, I could quit my job now and start writing full time. I don't expect that to happen anytime soon, but with your support, I will start releasing two, or maybe even three stories per month. These stories will still be released on SoFurry, to be freely viewed by patron and non-patron alike; I will never use Patreon as a pay-gate to view my finished content.
But if you can afford to, become a patron! Not only will I have every incentive to increase my writing output, but you will get certain perks, most notably access to a forum (anyone know good, free forum-software I could use?) where all my patrons can talk, discuss, read, and offer suggestions. I will lurk there, and if you ever have questions or ideas, I will be there to listen. I want to increase my interaction with you, the reader, because you are truly what is important to me. Show your support for my work by pledging today. Let's get that number up to 100 before the summer rolls around, because I've been dying to get back to work on my planned novel, "The World After", an epic future fantasy about talking dogs, with multiple, interesting protagonists telling a story together in the vein of "A Game of Thrones". With your support, I can spend more time writing for you, and less time writing commissions. I'm in the process of saving whatever money I can and paying off my house and student loan debts so that I can be as efficient as possible when I finally do quit my job. I'm certain it will happen, and you can help it happen just a little bit sooner!
