Hello
To be honest I'm getting anxious and stressed
I've never stuck with an online alias. I tend to change it after a year or so (especially after a break up, change of interest, fresh start, whatever). I'm not using deviantart, toyhouse, etc, at the moment and I've been barely on furaffinity. I am mostly on twitter, but i use it mostly for fandom stuff or socializing, art is only occasional.
The past couple of thefts is really discouraging me on being part of art site communities. Within hours of returning back to fA, someone starts impersonating me here by using one of the usernames I use and posting my old art.
My only current fA accounts are glitter and rinicoco. While I was away from here, I've been using peixii on tumblr and peixii_ on twitter. Anyways, so I'm back here now...
What should I do to protect against art theft / impersonation?
Should I make a new name and stick with it, and claim it on all the social media I can? Should I stick with what I have to keep my following? Or something else? How can I handle my watermarking better?
Any thoughts and advice are appreciated. I'm really worried that I'm being targeted because of my sporadic usernames and absences. I'm sorry for any typos.

Being active under one name helps ppl catch those thief's faster tho.
Maybe putting the whole url somewhere in the watermarks , might make it a bit harder for ppl the claim it's theirs?

also always make sure you dont upload any full res images, etc. i would say stick with your current usernames BUT if you do wanna change them then just make sure you keep it consistent. ive changed accs a crap ton and as long as you update your friends and followers theyll find you no matter what so i wouldnt worry about following o/ to help i would put a disclaimer on your profiles that the accounts you have listed are your only accounts
