- Where do you find these photos? Do you scan it yourself?

I found them in plenty of websites, Flickr, Etsy, eBay, depop and Coroflot. My top sites are My Barbie Site, Barbie Collectors Guide, Sonnenschein World, Nathalie NHT and Gréta Kitti Tóth. Nothing I post here are mine, only when noted.

- How do you identify a doll?

Take a look on fashiondollz.de, I believe they have almost every Barbie doll documented there. If you have a doll with no clothes and there’s nothing to help to identify, pay attention to the head mold and especially the eye paint and take a look on the website! That’s how I found some of my dolls recently.

If you want to find a doll from memory though, it’s a little more tricky, but I suggest googling for key words, like: Barbie with yellow short dress, or something like that. If you remember vaguely when the doll was producted, it helps a lot!

- Do you have a collection?

- Kinda. Vintage dolls (80s-early 2000s are the only dolls I’m interested) are expensive here and I’m already focused on gaming collection (although I wouldn’t call it a collection either). And I was dumb enough to give my dolls for my niece when I was a teen, because I wasn’t interested in Barbie dolls anymore back then, now I regret that, but I have a few old dolls.

- What was your first Barbie doll?

I believe Barbie Chic (the green dress one) was my first doll, my mom gave it to me in 2007, if I remember correctly. My little sister had Summer (the purple dress one). Because of how things were super expensive back then, I hadn’t the chance of having a Barbie doll when I was younger, but I played a lot with Happy Family Midge (yes, the pregnant doll) and Travel Train Barbie (I thought all these years it was Pilot Barbie but I was wrong lol) when I used to play at my friend’s house, when I was 7/8.

- What’s your favorite Barbie movie?

Swan Lake, definitely. If I recall, it was the first Barbie movie I watched… or it was Rapunzel, I don’t really remember lol. Nutcracker is my second favorite, both are really nostalgic to me!
