WIP Update - Hoping to get this out before next ep lol but ended up dragging my feet on this comic over the weekend... I kept getting distracted and drawing more Houses... But! Still gonna work so hopefully will get a Fallout TV Show comic out really soon. :)

oh my god fuck YES this is absolutely true. i was definitely a cartoon network kid over anything else and ed edd and eddy was probably one of if not the favorite out of the rotations at the time

it’s so good not just for its direction (style, music, comedic timing) but like… what i think it provides to make character-driven media good. the cul-de-sac concept is literally one of my favorite ways to imagine ocs sometimes laughs. just really great to have super deliberate design and character choices all hanging out together

side note i remember double-d being my favorite VERY strongly???pretty sure that was like one of the first cartoon crushes i had, next to like… milo thatch from atlantis??? i’m laughing so hard. what

#asks #0chance #i feel like a lot of my ocs in general are impacted by media with strong characterization. i like filling archetypes and concepts #i have a trio (not fallout related) that i know i've already joked about being my ed-boys it's so fucking fun to have good friends!!! #i think i make characters in duos/trios/groups a lot of the time because it makes for really fun playing off of each other. friendship rule #a bunch of really different people adding different flavors to a dynamic really makes for interesting worlds i think. good times #text

“You read homestuck and it was a big part of your life for a few years, you’re not into steven universe but you did watch it, and you had an intense black butler phase in middle school and doodled their eyes over and over again in your spiral notebooks”

Art is the biggest snitch ever man like have you ever read a fanfic and been like “Oh the author is working through some trauma here”

Or when people rec songs/shows/fics and you suddenly know everything you need to know about who they are as a person?

Like I know art is inherently an attempt to make others understand what is going on inside our lonely little heads but sometimes the mortifying ordeal of being known just slips in there while you’re not looking
