My taste in romance has less to do with how romanticthe relationship actually is (though that is a bonus) and more to do with how interesting I find the dynamic between the couple. Which is why fluffy vanilla romance usually bores the hell out of me. I want to see how these characters dramatically affect each other and fundamentally change each other and their individual understandings of the world!!! I want to see a beautiful tie-in between the romance and the themes + messages of the story and how it all builds to a climax!!!
I can happily assure you that Cloti is not, in fact, the worst. Quite the contrary. Nor is Clerith the worst in contrast for liking Cloti. Nor Sefikura or Zakkura or anyone else.
There are no bad ships. There are no reasons to judge anyone.
Furthermore, I will not apologize for liking certain ships, characters, plot concepts, or theories. That’s how it goes. We can all enjoy this space like reasonable adults. That’s what it’s here for.

i just think there have been too many people who have looked me in the eye (metaphorically) and said they love genesis but specifically the fanon version, canon genesis is bland and awful and cc sucks, but also they didn’t actually play cc hahaha but all their friends say they get genesis’s characterization sooooo perfect and correct therefore their headcanons must just all be accidentally canon hahahaha isn’t that so funny??????????

There’s this weird tendency among fandom types where they’ll take a character, and insist that they are fans of them, before changing their design, age, pronouns, backstory, blood type, species, hometown, favorite color, zodiac sign, medical history, and every other facet of their being.
They will then violently insist that this version is superior to the canon one and act like they “fixed” them and it’s like. Buddy that’s not the same character anymore. That’s just your own oc commiting identity fraud. Like. I get the desire to experiment with different interpretations of a story. But first of all it’s okay to just make an original character if that’s what you really want to do. And second of all, are you even really a fan of the character you “fixed” if they’re a completely different person afterwards?

Its absolutely a weird and invasive thing to say. Especially because non-binary people can choose to present in mixed ways instead of androgynously. Especially because everyone should be allowed to choose scents, colors, products, patterns, and clothing that they LIKE, without it having to be based on gender. Because masculine people should be allowed to smell like flowers or wear pretty things if they just fucking want to.
Labeling everyone who doesn’t conform to binary gender norms as trans is just binary gender conformity with extra steps.
