Welcome to the MultiConnectOpenSCAD wiki!
The easiest way to use this part generator is on my MakerWorld Part Generator Page. This fully web-based and does not require any downloads. Alternatively you may install OpenSCAD, download these .scad files, and load them into OpenSCAD.
This project is about making 3D printed organization accessible, functional, and customizable. With tens of thousands of organization parts online, even if you can find the part you want, rarely will it have the mounting option you prefer. If you cannot find the part you want, your options become much more limited to learning CAD or finding and waiting for someone to design the part for you. Here comes this project - get the exact organization part you need in minutes without needing to know CAD.
Spend more time printing and organizing and less time designing.
Happy printing,
Andy Levesque
At this time, all mounting uses the incredibly versatile Multiconnect mount by @DavidD on Printables. While the most popular Multiconnect mount is on Multiboard, other Multiconnect mount options include Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW) and direct mount to the wall via screws.
Mount and store any rectangular items. Enter the dimensions of the item you wish to hold. Customizations include:
- Add/Remove Cutouts on left, right, front, and bottom
- Cord cutout on bottom to mount and remove without unplugging cord
Default Item Holder
A standard bin with 4 solid walls. Enter the internal dimensions of the bin.
Default Bin
A flat shelf with a lip. Enter the internal dimensions of the shelf.
Default Shelf
A shelf with a Gridfinity Base for storing Gridfinity Bins and other Gridfinity Items. Enter the grid width and depth.
Default Gridfinity Shelf
A standard hook with a lip on front. Enter the length, width, and lip height.
Default Hook
A base to store a single round item vertically.
Default Single Round Item Holder
A base to store a row of multiple round items at various angles. Enter the item diameter, number of items, and item angle.

My project principles are:
- Prioritize accessibility
- Web-Based
- Free and Open Source
- No CAD knowledge needed
- Most common parameters first
- Accept for the parameters users will know (e.g., item dimensions) and calculate the rest for them
- Universal
- Prioritize the most common use cases first
- Prioritize function first, then form
- Adaptable
- Parameterize tweaks for varying printer tolerances
- Keep tweak parameters consistent between parts to minimize testing
- Invest time in modular and clean code to ensure flexibility later
- Design for modularity - i.e., swapping out back types
