Purple 2048 turns a classic single-player puzzle into an on-chain experience on the Base network! Players can compete globally and store their game scores directly on-chain, ensuring transparency, fairness, and immutability. it bridges casual gaming with blockchain ownership — users don’t just play, they prove their achievements. the project also makes it easier for developers to understand how to integrate Ethers.js with Farcaster MiniApps and Base App wallets, lowering the entry barrier for Web3 game builders you can just check the project Github.
Challenges I ran into one of the biggest hurdles was wallet compatibility across different environments like Base App, Farcaster MiniApp Frame, MetaMask & Rabby and also WalletConnect. each has its own quirks. farcaster wallets for instance required a manual gas limit to complete transactions successfully. i also had to fix issues with auto network switching to Base, leaderboard data not updating properly, and ensuring smooth mobile behavior. debugging these without breaking the 2048 game logic was a real balancing act but we did it.

Who is your target customer? our ideal users are Web3 enthusiasts, Farcaster users, and casual gamers curious about blockchain daily interaction. feedback from Farcaster players confirmed that simple games with wallet-based scoring engage users far more effectively than static dapps especially for daily gm routine.
Who are your closest competitors and how are you different? they are so many competitors include on-chain casual games and also daily gm dapp but they make charge users and you need to pay some eth but we built most simple smart contract without any charging and extra fee for users that wants to engage a lot without gas fee problems. also Purple 2048 integrates directly with Farcaster MiniApps and Base App Frames without any external wallet extensions. its interface is lightweight, optimized for both mobile and desktop, and it maintains the nostalgic feel of 2048 while adding verifiable decentralized scoring.
What is your distribution strategy and why? we plan to distribute primarily through Farcaster Frames and Base community channels and also my personal X and Telegram channels to attract more people to staying On-chain! this community-driven approach fits the spirit of the product native Web3 users discovering new apps through social engagement. additional reach will come from showcasing the game on hackathons, Farcaster channels, and small creator partnerships to drive organic visibility within Base’s growing ecosystem.
