Hi, when I try to upgrade this package I have this error.

I'm not sure what I'm looking at here, so could you share some more details?

All I can tell is that the build.py in the stacktrace isn't in the numpy-typing-compat distributions. So in other words; numpy-typing-compat should not be used this way. It should instead by installed from PyPI or conda-forge using a modern Python package manager.
