I'm unable to find where amd64 Linux builds for clang+llvm 15.0.x are located.

Is the building from sources the only option now for x86_64 Linux hosts now?

IIRC we rely on release testers/contributors to help build + upload the binary releases and they usually trickle out a few days/weeks after release.

There isn't really a list. But there has been a lot of discussion about the x86_64 binaries and recently someone stepped up to provide them. So I expect to upload them tomorrow.

I expect to start a discussion about providing "official" binaries for the next release. But that discussion is TBD.

It's been more than two months since LLVM 15.0.0 was released, and there are no linux x86-64 binary builds available on the release page (for any of the 15.0.x release).
Is the person/team who usually produces those builds MIA?
What can we do to get this addressed?

I think if you rely on LLVM you should probably build it yourself. We don't have a structure to reliably get a set list of builds out for each version. There is no "responsible" team or individual.

Or use the packages from your distro or apt.llvm.org

That's fair enough. It's just that up until now I've been able to rely on binary builds attached to the releases page, so I was kind of expecting it to be a constant across major releases.

Packages from apt.llvm.org are a good option, but I also need them for armhf.

Using distro packages will require that I rebase the firefox snap on core22 (based on Ubuntu 22.04) to be able to leverage LLVM 15.0. This is already planned, so this problem might end up speeding up the upgrade.
