Unfortunately the proc_events connector cannot be built as a module, so adding it will result in a small increase in kernel size, but the connector is very useful for monitoring events relating to processes.

IP_VS is built as a module and so enabling IPv6 will not increase the kernel size unless IP_VS in is use. The schedulers are all built as modules.

keepalived uses the proc_events connector for efficiently tracking
when processes start and stop running, and there are users who
want to use this feature.

Unfortunately the proc_events connector is not available as a module.

The FO OVF and MH schedulers are relatively new. Schedulers are
disabled by default, and so need to be explicitly enabled; this will
make the scheduler configuration consistent since all other schedulers
are enabled.
