Consider updating the Acknowledgements section of the Vision document

I initially raised this point in #252 (comment) and while it may have been overlooked or simply lost in the broader discussion, I thought it might be helpful to resurface it here as a separate issue for clearer visibility and community consideration.

If possible, it would be great to see contributors to the Vision document acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section and, where applicable [1].

If there is already a defined process or criteria for updating the Acknowledgements section of the Vision document to include contributors and authors, I'd appreciate a reference. In that case, this issue can be closed.

This is a fair point - we had discussed this at TPAC in Anaheim during the Vision TF meeting and decided against adding more acknowledgements, mostly to avoid litigating what rose to the level of needing acknowledgment. To your question, there is no reference for what rises to that level.

You make a fair point, and we can talk about it, since it doesn't affect the substance of the vision, I would be happy to work through this and push that change through - though I'll let the Editors cast their opinions on if making a change would be difficult from a process perspective.

I must say it's rather disappointing to hear that meaningful contributions (whether editorial or substantive) by individuals won't be directly acknowledged, especially in a document meant to reflect shared community effort... and vision. Small steps like this don't solve bigger inclusion challenges, but they do matter. A simple, concrete approach could be to create space for recognition, as all contributions are important and worthy of acknowledgement.
