My family in Gaza: Trapped in a vicious cycle of pain, displacement and death They have experienced the trauma of displacement four times in Gaza and there are no words to describe the fear that overwhelms them when they see thousands of leaflets dropped from Israeli warplanes in our skies, ordering them to leave for other places that are no less dangerous. It is an arduous and exhausting process of packing everything you need, begging bus drivers by phone (often with a weak signal) to come and pick us up at any cost. Displacement and escaping death have sadly become a daily routine for adults and children alike in Gaza.
