I love how the Japanese wikipedia page for Joe has all these facts that the English page just doesn't have

Apparently Chiba, Kajiwara's brother, and manga critics are seriously pushing the alive Joe agenda, like, "la la la, he just burned to ashes as a metaphor but in reality he's either chilling with Carlos and Yoko"

Anyway the real reason I brought this up is...*twiddles thumbs* I kinda wanna see how you would picture Joe playing with Carlos like what happened in this apparent drafted ending. Hopefully he would NOT be as severely brain-damaged as Carlos bc that would be too depressing...I just imagine post-series Joe as very clumsy, with an unusually sharp memory because he's the main character and his body is just Different(TM) and everyone helping him out like a kitten because he's half-blind

but yeah, Joe would probably visit Carlos as often as possible. as for his state, he’s obviously blind in his right eye, very clumsy, yes, and maybe he’ll have some trouble walking, because he already did in the manga back in Hawaii. maybe eventually he’ll even have to use a cane like Danpei does? who knows
