"waku" is a piece born from the concept of the newly opened art space in Mizonokuchi, waku.
Carrying the dual meaning of “to well up” and “to boil over,” it evokes the quiet stirring of sensibility that gradually gains heat and finally erupts into creation — rendered here through voice, bass, and an ethereal soundscape.

The work was first premiered as a ten-minute live performance at the opening reception, in collaboration with contemporary dancers Mari Fujihira and Kiyotaka Suzuki.

This release includes both the original version based on that performance and a Radio Edit tailored for radio play and DJ use.

"Softly simmering… we’re boiling…"
As the words of waku proclaim — “Here, sensitivity wells up, and creativity boils over” — this track captures the very moment when inner heat rises and takes shape as music.


"waku" は、溝の口に誕生した新たなアートスペース waku のコンセプトから生まれた楽曲。
「湧く」と「沸く」——静かにふつふつと立ち上がる感性が、やがて熱を帯びてぐつぐつと創造へと転じる。そのイメージを、VocalとBass、そして幽玄的なサウンドスケープによって描き出す。

オープニング・レセプションにて、コンテンポラリーダンサー藤平真梨、鈴木清貴と共演し、10分にわたるライブパフォーマンスとして初演。

今回のリリースには、その構成をもとにしたオリジナル・ヴァージョンと、ラジオやDJプレイに対応したRadio Editを収録している。

「ふつふつ……ぐつぐつ……ここは感性が湧き、創造が沸く場所」
waku が掲げる言葉の通り、内奥から立ち上がる熱が音楽として形を取る瞬間を記録した作品。
