Terribly Tasty

I can’t believe how bad this cheese roll from Albert Heijn is… really terrible. It’s warm, soft, and the cheese is way too tasty. After one bite I already wanted another, and soon I had eaten the whole thing! And the smell in the store? Way too good—I could hardly wait to eat it. A big problem if you’re trying to have self-control… Don’t try it if you want to stay healthy!

In July of this year

In July of this year, I purchased a package of gnocchi from the Albert Heijn store in Leidschendam. To my shock, one of the gnocchi contained a piece of metal inside. I reported the issue to the store, but I have received no response whatsoever. I also took several photos of the gnocchi, which I wish I could attach here. I have no idea whether Albert Heijn has removed this product from its shelves.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE (23/07/2025): I have a receipt of my shopping which…

I have a receipt of my shopping which bas 8 items. Mostly are fruit and vegetables, except one item which is Samontana ice cream (pistachio). This item has 4 ice cream bar. On the package says, “ it has 32 gram of sugar, but it tastes like having 60 gram of sugar it was full of caramel chunk which supposed to be pistachios chunks. It had mostly green artificial color, without even artificial flavor. I couldn’t even finish 1 bar. I throw the rest of the 1st bar in the garbage, because it will be too messy to return it to the store. Therefore I took back the other 3 bars with the packaging back to the store in less than an hour after. I put my receipt and the packaging on their counter. I politely asked for my money back or changing the product. They laughed at me and said, “ You can’t return what you bought from freezer section.” I replied: they all are still frozen. This particular product is not what they claim in it. Then the manager accused me of lying and cheating. I brought that to her attention. She didn’t apologize and raised her voice on me and insisted her false accusations. When I asked for proof, she reply: I don’t remember when and what. Long story short: not only they didn’t take back that item, but also they ruined my day which supposed to be a nice sunny day. We, the people must get united and stopping shopping from them at least temporarily in order to prove them that they need us, not we need them as customers. They have already mistreated us by poor service and selling junks between good products. Thank you all for your precious time.

cancel My Albert Heijn Premium

When I was living in the Netherlands, I signed up for "My Albert Heijn Premium". However, I have since moved out of the Netherlands and now want to cancel it. It’s simply impossible. To access the app or website, they send a code to your phone. I no longer have that number. When I try to contact customer service, it's only in Dutch. They ask you to call a toll-free 0800 number, but as I said, I no longer live in the Netherlands. In short, it's impossible to get in touch with them, and now I have to pay the annual fee without using the service. Is there any other way to contact them????????

and you cant even pay with creditcard because its to expensive all happend in Spakenburg!!
no its cheap to get money from the Atm !!!
Charge me for paying with creditcarsd instead of letting me pay a 4,5 euro fee for taking money out
never again!!

My favourite supermarket in the Netherlands

I've moved to the NL more than 2 years ago and since then this has been my favourite supermarket. Great variety of products, many tasty options to choose from, and even the branded AH cottage cheeses and skyr are really nice. Moreover, I find the app really useful. I don't need to write a shopping list by hand, I just look through the leaflet and add those items I need into the cart.

Staff Sides with Bullies, Ignores Safety

Een groep tieners viel me fysiek lastig, maar jullie “professional” stal de show! In plaats van de aanval aan te pakken, bespotte hij mijn zorgen, sloot hij me buiten met arrogante sneren en rolde hij praktisch de rode loper uit voor de aanvallers. Wie heeft er beveiliging nodig als je personeel hebt dat getraind is in slachtofferschande? Nul verantwoordelijkheid, nul empathie. Een masterclass in het niet beschermen van klanten. Doe het beter, of blijf het vertrouwen verliezen. Schandalig.
A group of teens physically harassed me, but your staff "professional" stole the show! Instead of addressing the assault, he mocked my concerns, shut me down with sneering arrogance, and practically rolled out a red carpet for the attackers. Who needs security when you’ve got staff trained in victim-shaming? Zero accountability, zero empathy. A masterclass in how not to protect customers. Do better, or keep losing trust. Disgraceful.

Albert Heijn Lambertus Zijlplein

Albert Heijn Lambertus Zijlplein. The worst customer service ever!! Rude, impatient and incompetent, even the manager is a joke.
I’m surprised that having so many bad reviews AH would do something about their rude staff. I guess as long as the euros keep rolling in, why bother.

Seriously SICK TO THE BACK TEETH of…

Seriously SICK TO THE BACK TEETH of Appie Heijn. Sick that there is only ONE Cashier open in Weesp at EITHER OF THE 2 Albert Heijn Supermarkets, SICK that you have to scan the articles yourself, SICK that you then pack your articles in a bag that fits on your bike, SICK that you are then controlled by a 15 year old who now has to pull out all your shopping to control that you have paid for it all, SICK that they then push everything back in your bag in a random way so you have to REPACK said bag again. PUT SIMPLY, SICK OF YOUR ATTITUDE!!!! If you need to control everyone, PUT CASHIERS BACK IN STORES!! Fed up of being treated like a criminal. Stop using 15 and 16 year olds to control your clients. WAKE UP APPIE, you are looking like a BUTT. BET YOUR CEO HAS A BONUS THIS YEAR, JUST LICKING THE BACKSIDE OF THE INVESTORS, YET TREATS CLIENTS LIKE CRIMINALS!!!

Just ok

Great selection, but they dont accept any credit cards even in 2024 which is ridiculuous!

I also wish they have more cashiers. They clearly overwork their staff which is not ok.

Staying home for your delivery, and get a fine?

Staying all day and all evening for my AH delivery, and turned out my order was cancelled, i will have a fine of 50 Euros and the reason is that I AM NOT HOME! how can that be? We were home with the whole family!

Then i make contact with customer service, and being called a lier, and being told that it is what it is! then try the " chat" function, after 2 hours, they tell me their decision stand and i have no choice!

what is happening to customers that have done nothing wrong, and need to be responsible for their internal operational failure?

Then another 40 mins waiting on telephone line, and they hang up on me 17.59, because its time to go home for the customer service?

I feel helpless here, don't know where to go to get the story right, and to get my RIGHT back! this is unbelievably to experience this in the year of 2023, don't they have system to track where are their drivers and maybe they should start to review their internal process before they punish their clients.

We are determined to take this all the way, even if its court. but want to know if anyone had the same experience.

AH truck damaging property & No response from AH.

I am here to explain my experience with AH.

June 2023- a AH Truck, which came to my street to deliver to one my neighbors- lost control and came and hit my fence.
My concrete fence was damaged and driver along with truck was captured in my CCTV camera. As per AH helpline, all formalities were completed and an insurance claim was filed.

Even after month- AH has not take any action & has not even informed insurance company about this incidence. Insurance company gave a message that, they can not process as AH has not notified them. This is happening, the entire incident is captured in video.

One of the leading retailers in Netherlands- this is the how they treat their customers.
I would loved upload photographs here and video's as well in which AH driver explaining to me- he lost control and hit my house fence. Even after having all video evidences available & shared with AH. They have not even responded.

So, if a truck is coming to your neighborhood- I can wish you the best of luck....
