Brilliant service and help
Short amount of time waiting on the phone. Got quick answers from the call handler and advice for what can benefit me. Call handler saw that my plan could be improved with unlimited data and a free tablet for no extra cost.
Shaun in Scotland and Claire in Middlesbrough are a credit to the company. 10/10
Utterly diabolical liars
WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GO WITH BT UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCE as you will definitely regret it. Just spoke to a so called guide who did their utmost to deceive me about downgrading our service to IP. Denied that they offer a service called SOTAP that works over copper and still works in a power cut for vulnerable and elderly users who rely on the landline 24/7 or have IP incompatible healthcare devices. Despicable liars. 1.3 out of 5 says it all. I'm surprised it's that high.
Tried to 'view my bill'
Tried to 'view my bill' - cannot. Tried to register - cannot. I guess I'll just cancel the direct debit then. No different from Virgin Media. Crap customer service. All I get is, 'your details dont match our records' Now, I know my own name, I know the date I was born and the account number is the one BT sent me on paper. I do not have a smartphone thank god - nothing but trouble.
Connection speed is average
The connection speed is average and not a major problem. Line drop rate is the lowest compared to my old one.
Poor and problematic broadband…
Poor and problematic broadband connection. I had almost every week inginer coming to fix the internet issue but without any luck. Never received any compensation for all the service issues from BT. I paid my bill each month but I never received the service that I was charged for. I had to switch for another broadband provider as BT they did not respect their contracts and customers.
Appalling service and speeds
Very bad service never get the speeds promised and they never resolve it just give bs excuses.
Overpriced now out of contract so will be changing to another provider
Don't use these guys far better deals elsewhere and if you want to leave in contact they charge you alot to break out the contract a big con.
Lazy and skirting future legal…
Lazy and skirting future legal challenges.
Changed tariff, receive an email asking for stuff back (wifi disks and a 4G hub), never used them and i now find i've been charged monthly for them...
Anyway the return requires me to provide the box and then do all the leg work. If not then they will attempt to bill me the FULL PRICE for 2 year old equipment.
Just lazy lazy incomptence
LLANE PUBS LTD t/a The Black Lion, Blackfordby, DE11 8AB
We recently upgraded to a digital service through BT. The engineer came, set it up, and when he left we had no telephone service, only internet. Being a pub where telephone bookings for food are very important this lost us a lot of business. This went on for approx 6 weeks. We still have a problem in that since this change over in November 2025, so 4 months, our phone/internet bills have totalled £1343.27. Despite 2 phones to BT to address this, no refund has been received!
When you cancel BT Halo they want the last laugh.
When you cancel BT Halo be cause they won’t let you down grade to lower package that has now become 10x better than the premium package you’re on , they don’t like it . This is their policy , once you sign up you’re stuck you can only upgrade .
I cancelled once I came out of contract , they still like to have the last laugh by sending an email on a Friday and saying you have to return by next day to prevent further hire payment which in my case was £85.
How pathetic when they knew I cancelled 2 weeks ago by sending a sorry to see you go email .
This is the customer loyalty they show after decades of being with them.
Never known such an incompetent company…
Never known such an incompetent company after I placed a complaint they stated because they have not managed to call me which they never kept to the times they said they would call and I do work for a living they have decided to close my complaint. Not happy so if that what they want to do i will be reporting them to offcom useless to the core .
Terrible service and when it goes down…
Terrible service and when it goes down there is no rushing to get the service back up and running. You phone up to report an issue they try to flog you EE services and I didn't join BT to then be put on another contract with another company
So pleased to be rid . .
After years of using BT for business (Cloudwork and Broadband) I am now finally about to be free of this dreadful organisation. Issues have included double-billing, lack of communication between BT local business office and the main organisation, a terrible and life-stealing automated helpline/customer service system, and generally, a culture focussed on sales and not service. Thanks heavens it's over. I implore others not to use them.
Appalling Unhelpful Service
After visits from a BT Engineer once a month for 5 months to repair the failing broadband reception - in London! - I have just been by BT Complaints Dept that all they can do is send me another booster which I would have to place on my staircase with a trailing lead to trip me up as I go up and down the stairs. I am 77 and have arthritis. The complaints department was unhelpful and got quite shirty with me. I pointed out that BT promises WiFi in every room in the house and he told me that it was my house's fault that the WiFi doesn't work upstairs!
What role does Executive Complaints…
What role does Executive Complaints fulfill? Who is the Manager handling complaints about the incompetency and stonewalling of this department — I'd like their name, title, and email address to complain about the shenanigans regarding staff who are supposed to assist customers!
Zero stars
I don't know why you. Ant give zero stars because one star would be too many. Absolutely shocking service. Been left without a working internet and just told we will call you back. Can get through to a person on the chat line.
I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR HOME…
I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR HOME BROADBAND. YOU ARE LOCKED INTO A 2 YEAR CONTRACT WITH PENALTIES FOR LEAVING EARLY. YOU GET THE SAME SPEED FROM LEBARA MOBILE WITHOUT A CONTRACT
BT /EE Ageist
I wish to write a review on behalf of anyone that falls in the category of elderly, vulnerable, safeguarding- to say BT/ EE will not be in your best interest
And will not protect you from higher fees or contracts. Pleas go elsewhere
I also want to add on order to change my 89 year old fathers contact it took over 3 hours!! What 89 year old could be put on hold for. This long!!!
This is manipulative behaviour for. EE /BT
And I will pass this on to AgeUK
Following house move and installation…
Following house move and installation of Fibre, we had an issue with the fibre cable . Move on 12 days and still not resolved , numerous calls and escalation of the issue to BT/ open reach and just no action at all. Very disappointing and inconvenient as I work from home (which I can’t ) . Incredibly poor service considering the length of time I have been with BT !
BT says nooooooo
I contacted deviceshelpdesk at bt com for resolution we were having with a faulty device and they were less than helpful, borderline rude just saying they cant help and I should go online which was very frustrating. Reminded me very much of the "computer says no" sketch from Little Britain.
Beyond hopeless
Beyond hopeless. If there was an option for no stars I’d have chosen that.
About a month ago I tried to cancel my landline and have just broadband internet installed. Something you’d imagine was easy enough?!
Oh no, despite giving them my house name they sent the router to a neighbour’s house.
I contacted them and although my house has been here 40+ years they can’t find it.
On one of many occasions I rang it clearly went to an Indian(?) call centre?
The bloke was difficult to understand, patronising and hopeless.
There was shouting in the background and music playing!
He just hung up on me.
Eventually managed to send the router back but now being plagued by emails and tests from BT, EE and Openreach. How many titles does this useless company need?!
Rang today and female again denied my house existed and that I’d cancelled my services.
Then said she’d found my cancellation.
She blamed me for coming through to the sales team when I’d pressed god knows how many buttons for the cancellation team.
She then blamed a glitch on their system.
Avoid at all costs.
