I sent Chronext my Tag heur Monaco Gulf to sell. Valued at 6700€ it was an investment that I needed to liquidate. They received my watch in August and it took 2 months to put it on the website. They sent me an email on the 5th of December to say they had an offer and the watch would be sold in 2 weeks. The watch sold and then they said I had to wait 20 days for the money. I should have been paid on the 20th of January. No money has been received despite several phone calls. Now they dont answer the phone and in my mind have stolen the watch or the money. I have no choice but to report this to the police and take legal action against the CEO. Frederick Von Borries. Hopefully one day I will get my money. .

I purchased a luxury watch from CHRONEXT on August 1, 2024, for €3,400, and today (03.02.2026) I still dont have any money back!!! They stole my money and never delivered my watch!
This company took thousands of euros from customers and never returned them. They act like nothing happened, still selling watches while people like me are left with nothing but frustration and financial loss. CHRONEXT didn’t just rob me of my money; they robbed me of the joy of owning a luxury watch and left me with a mental burden from this injustice.
I don’t care what excuse or comment they put under this review – they are scammers. They should not be trusted, and I strongly warn everyone against buying from them. Avoid this company at all costs!

I ordered a Cartier watch. Instead of the indicated 4 weeks it took 7 weeks and once I received it it was not the watch I ordered, but a smaller and cheaper model!! Communication was very slow and Chronext was asking me to place a new order for the watch that I actually ordered. I cancelled the order and received the money after just over two weeks from return. I would not order again.

After 3 Months and multiple promises I did not get the watch I ordered and paid for.
Communication was very poor and not proactive.
After canceling the order I am now waiting for my refund. Again communication is poor.
This is the second time I deal with Chronext, but the first time that I experience such a bad customer service.
I have to wonder if they are having financial problems again, what other reasons for dealing with customers who pays over 10k for a watch like this, could there be???????

My Rolex entrusted to Chronext – never sold, never returned!
I entrusted my Rolex Oyster vintage (50’s) to Chronext on June 3rd, 2025 (received by them on June 11th, 2025) for consignment and sale through their platform.
Several months after they received it, my watch still had not been listed for sale, and I received no explanation. I contacted Chronext to understand the delay.
They then informed me that my watch had been sent to Rolex, without my prior consent.
Since I requested the immediate return of my watch, Chronext has completely stopped communicating:
– No reply to my multiple emails,
– No tracking number,
– No proof of shipment,
– No update whatsoever.
It has now been several months since Chronext has been holding my watch without transparency or communication, which is unacceptable for a company that claims to be a trusted name in the luxury watch market.
I have therefore decided to take legal action in order to recover my property and assert my rights, and I will also seek damages for the harm suffered.
I strongly advise anyone against entrusting Chronext with their watches until their customer service and accountability reach a professional standard worthy of the luxury industry.

Sellers should exercise extreme caution when using CHRONEXT to sell their watches.
I sold my timepiece through their platform in July 2025, with a clearly agreed sales price and commission fee. According to CHRONEXT’s own terms and conditions, the payout was due immediately after the expiration of the 14-day return period – yet as of today (September 2025), I have not received any payment.
Despite multiple attempts to contact CHRONEXT via email and phone, the responses I received were vague, unhelpful, and without any clear commitment to resolve the issue. All I got were empty apologies and repeated promises that were never fulfilled.
At this point, I have prepared legal action to recover the amount owed. In my opinion, CHRONEXT is violating its contractual obligations, and as a seller, you are exposed to significant financial risk. Whether this is due to liquidity problems or internal mismanagement is unclear – but the consequences are very real.
I strongly advise against selling your watch through CHRONEXT at this time.
If you value timely payment and professional communication, this platform may not be the right choice.

After a few minor teething problems
After a few minor teething problems, I received my watch. The service was good and the staff were very friendly. And best of all, I got a watch from 2025 that is usually not so easy to get hold of without connections...
My initial opinion was quite the opposite, but now I would do it again in a heartbeat. You have to be patient for a few days longer, but then everything works out perfectly.
Long-Term Seller with CHRONEXT – Now Over 5 Months Awaiting Payment, Unacceptable
I have sold several watches through CHRONEXT over time, and while occasional payment delays have happened, they were always resolved within a reasonable timeframe.
However, this current situation is completely unacceptable. It has now been over five months since I sold my GMT Master II watch, and I am still waiting for the payment.
Despite multiple reminders, promises, and acknowledgements of errors on their side, no payment has been made, nor have I received a firm date for when it will be executed.
This excessive delay far exceeds normal banking processing times and demonstrates a serious lack of respect and professionalism from a company dealing in luxury goods.
I hope CHRONEXT takes immediate action to resolve this issue, or I will be forced to take further steps to protect my rights. I will not recommend their services based on this last experience.
UPDATE 12.02.2026 Today I received my money back. Support it was great but waiting time it was too long.

DO NOT SELL YOUR WATCH THROUGH CHRONEXT – BEWARE OF NON-PAYMENT
I strongly advise anyone considering selling their watch through Chronext to think twice. My experience has been extremely frustrating and concerning. I sold my watch through their platform, and despite the contractual payment deadlines being clearly outlined, I have never received the payment.
After numerous emails and phone calls, Chronext has failed to provide a clear explanation for the delay. All I’ve received are vague apologies and empty reassurances — no real answers, no timelines, and, most importantly, no money.
This behavior is completely unacceptable for a company claiming to be a trusted intermediary in the luxury watch market. In my opinion, there is a serious risk of insolvency or financial instability at play here, and sellers should be extremely cautious.
At this point, the only viable path forward seems to be initiating legal action to recover the money owed.
Do not trust Chronext with your valuables. They are violating their contractual obligations and putting their sellers at serious financial risk.
Update on 05/09/2025
After countless emails and phone calls reassuring me that they would pay the amount and that the payment had already been made, it never arrived and they are unable to give a definite date or a real explanation as to why.
I have already initiated legal proceedings to recover the debt plus all the additional damages they have caused me. It is very likely that they are insolvent, as was the case with the previous company, CHRONEXT Service Germany GmbH.
At this point, I will leave it to the court in Germany to decide on the seriousness of the matter.
I strongly advise against buying or selling your timepieces through them.

No delivery, insolvency risk
Purchased a watch with delivery time of 2 weeks and paid 100% of price upfront. After 4 weeks, several emails and no reponses, I was made aware that Chronext has no access to the watch. I withdrew from the contract and demanded the payment back, which I have not received until today. Be aware that Chonext is not trustworthy, may not have access to the watch and may even have insolvency risk as otherwise refund would be made right away. Need to now start legal proceedings to get my money back.
Update:
After I engaged a lawyer who sent a letter that we will now start legal proceedings, the repayment was made immediately.
Please read article in manager magazin on Chronext and its parent TPG and make up your mind if you want to wire money to this company.

Ordered a watch 12 weeks ago that was supposed to be shipped within two weeks after payment receipt. CHRONEXT pushed the delivery back week by week, always with the excuse of delivery problems within the supply chain outside their control. Eventually cancelled the order requesting a full refund, so far unsuccessfully. Considering legal steps now. Would never order here again. Has signs of either a scam or close to insolvency.
