Great start…

I feel this company has more choices and a wider range of meals which cover allergen issues. Certainly impress with the first month and a half. They are pretty comparable price wise as well. All family members have commented on how good the meals have been.

Joined as I received a fantastic offer…

Joined as we received a fantastic offer for subscription of four deliveries. First one arrived which worked out great as we were all home and able to eat the meals over a few days. You then get chased to get your next order in which is fair enough but decided to delay as we had varied schedules. Placed our second order of five meals which arrived as scheduled to find one of them had a best before date of the day following delivery which therefore dictated which meal we would eat that night. We then found three others need to be eaten in the next three days and the other being a vegetarian option a bit longer. I contacted the online chat and was informed we can eat the meals in any order as long as it’s before the use by date!
Food tasted nice to be honest but would only recommend if you’re placing an order for what you want to eat in the coming days.
There also a lot of packaging some of which is cardboard but quite a few bits in plastic though it suggests taking it to the supermarket? Might as well get my food while I’m there! ;-)

Portion sizes aren't the best

Portion sizes aren't the best, also gives you a code to refer friends wich I did and never got the credit so contacted gousto who have assured me I have the credit but my app says I don't. If your a fussy eater there's really not alot to choose from. But one thing I will say is the meals are very very nice

Recipes are easy to follow

Recipes are easy to follow, and good.

However the deliveries have been received with a few damaged items in each time leaving me to have to go purchase replacements from the supermarket, this is due to mistreatment from the delivery company.

Choosing food in advance.??

There's plenty of choice with Gusto and the service is great.
However my wife and I are 80 years old and choosing food nearly a week in advance is not practical as we often don't decide on what to eat until meal time arrives, as what we want depends on what we've done that day and how hungry we are. Getting older can make life challenging in many respects but the alternative isn't great.
