I bought a needle punch coaster kit for my 8 yr-old granddaughter. It arrived quickly, and looked as described, but there wasn’t even enough of one of the wool colours to finish the first coaster, so... See more

Order placed, money taken, no communication, no product!
I bought a cross stitch kit from Hobbyart on the 7th Feb. '26. I've heard nothing from them regarding delivery but have two confirmation emails that they received my order - any my money! I will consider changing my rating for them once I get a reply to the 2 emails I've sent them already. I wish I'd checked their Trustpilot ratings before I placed my order (and paid)!
Very low quality and long delivery
Very low quality and long delivery. Would not recommend.
Love it
I ordered a custom cross stitch kit and I have been really enjoying working on it during these long winter evenings. I got a 11ct, 40x50 so the details in the photo can be seen well on the tapestry. Hobbyart delivered the kit quickly without any issues. The cotton thread colours are delightful, and better quality than some competitors. The stamped fabric is good quality and helpful. Now I am looking to start another project and for sure will be ordering from Hobbyart.
Wish I’d read the other reviews
Wish I’d read the other reviews! Poor quality, shipped from China despite looking like a UK company. Item not as pictured. And forget the no quibble refund policy.
I am now on my fifth offer of a partial (4/5 of the purchase price) refund. I accepted this one to cut my losses. The company then came back and said I had to take down the above review before they would pay the refund. As it is still a reflection of my experience, I have refused to do so.
I have heard nothing since so they have all my money and are refusing to allow me to return the item. A scam.

Do not buy from this site.
Do not buy from this site.! They are impossible to get hold of and give no date of posting or acknowledgement . E mails are not answered and from other reviews the products are cheap inferior and nasty

Poor quality and overpriced drop shipping.
Like many others, I was duped by a nice looking website.
Product took long time to arrive, was in another random box that was crushed and damaged. Wrapper had product code that when searched takes you straight to AliExpress website with EXACT same product for £4 rather than £30 (I paid £20 with some “discount”).
Website promised a no quibble returns process which is not the case. They were desperate not to return the item (presumably because it is just drop shipped). After multiple email exchanges with gradually increasing amounts of discount, I settled for an £18 refund and cut my losses. I have received the refund.
Essentially, the website and my experience is that if misrepresentation. I wish I had searched reviews, but was in a rush at the time.

Cheap Chinese rubbish. Scam
On site it shows needle work book with stitches done to show how each stitch is done. Was not aware this was a Chinese company, as I would not have ordered it. Took ages to come and when finally arrived it was just cheap blurry printed stitches and not a sampler as advertised. Totally unusable cheap rubbish. Threw in bin. Do not order from this site which pretends to be a UK company

Full refund, no quibble - what a joke!
Like many others commenting on HobbyArt, we too are being continually fobbed off. Their website says we can get a full refund with no quibble yet they offered £3 initially, then £6, £9 and now £12 for an item that cost £20. How is this no quibble? They are saying they have had to pay for shipping fees which isn't our problem!
HobbyArt - sort it out and pay the full refund please!

As with other reviews I’ve now seen
As with other reviews I’ve now seen, was expecting this to be a uk company, ordered the cross stitch book. Quality was not great, no embroidery threads and printed pages smudged. Would not recommend or buy from again. Very disappointed

Cheap chinese rubbish
Cheap chinese rubbish. Nothing like the pictures on the site. All sewing implements are dangerous, they bend, snap and break in your hands. Leave this site alone. Also missing items from order. All a total load of rubbish that went in the bin.

Very pleased …
I also didn't think I would have to wait for my purchase to arrive from China. Admittedly it was a long wait but I am very satisfied with it. The extras in the kit were a surprise as other companies haven't included scissors etc. Also I have emailed with queries and had a reply within a few days. So therefore I am very pleased.
Not hassle free returns
Attempting to return an item for the last 4 days as it states hassle free but get email each morning to purchase different item or get a discount on the item They don't appear to want to give me a return address -I've explained I want to return it.i also thought it was UK based which is why I see specifically purchased from them but it came from overseas

Avoid the company, terrible customer service
Sadly I wish I had checked reviews before purchasing.
Just like others I was mislead into believing it was a UK site when purchasing a Christmas gift. Item came late from China and poorly packaged so the box has been damaged. Have requested a refund and been caught up in a painful exchange of multiple emails where I am not being listened to; the websites ‘easy’ refund policy is clearly a lie as they appear to want to do anything but refund me as continuously requested.

I am re adding my review as hobby art…
I am re adding my review as hobby art offered me a partial 50 percent refund if I removed my review. Well I have not received that refund. I ordered 3 craft items in good time for Christmas and they did not arrive in time, only being sent after Christmas once I involved PayPal. I had to purchase alternative presents, asked for a refund but the items were sent to arrive in the new year and when they finally did arrive they were cheap Chinese items that came in creased boxes. I do not recommend.
I have now requested a refund for an…
I have now requested a refund for an item FOUR times. Each time they come back with a counter offer of a few pounds which I do not want. GIVE ME A REFUND!!
The item is such AI tripe. Poor quality and not fit for purpose.
EDIT TO RESPOND TO THER RESPONSE:
After more than TEN counter-offers of a partial refund or alternative product, they finally told me that the could not give me a full refund due to their “high shipping and production costs”. So no, it’s all lies - they will not ever give a full refund despite saying in their policy that they will and in their responses on here.
I finally had to accept a refund of £25 out of £30.
Would never buy from this company again.

I wouldn’t recommend to buy from these . I have been trying to get a return label since dec 28th the website says 30 day no reason refund guarantee and to email them for return label still no refund and very little response from them . When I ordered thought it was uk company but the item came from china so had to wait a while . I’m still trying to get a refund although u don’t see this happening

Don't use this site - read the reviews first
I wish I'd read the reviews before ordering from Hobbyart. Like many others I took this at face value as a UK based business when in fact it seems they're just drop shipping from China.
I ordered in good time for Christmas delivery, only to get a tracking email just before which told me the product was in China. Finally arrived about ten days later. I feel let down and ripped off by these people.

Very disappointing quality
I bought the fabric embroidery book from the Hobby Art site. I was very disappointed with it.
It comes with no instructions. I also bought the needle and thread kit. The thread in the kit is not embroidery quality thread. It is very thin single thread cotton.
I would advise people to buy a basic learn to embroider book from your local bookshop or craftstore along with an easy embroidery project and threads from your local craftstore. I wish I had!
Do not waste your money sending for these items from this site.

Took a while to be delivered but no longer than usual when overseas. Enough thread per colour and then some spare incase of mistakes I’m very happy with it
Poorly packaged
The product arrived ok but was very disappointed that it was just in a plastic bag and as it was a present for someone it didn’t look very professional. Wouldn’t buy again
