Total Scammers Phone up pretending to be another company or just set up a direct debit

They phone up pretending that they are you insurance company .I use Domestic and General and they must have pretended to be them and managed to get my details out of me without my consent by pretending they were the company I use.Beware as I’m quite good at these things but they somehow set up a direct debit for £15 and I don’t even know what it’s for.All my goods are already covered and somehow they have tried to scam me.They must be using old details which I’m not sure they should even have hold of .

WARNING

WARNING: Absolutely shocking company do not use them! Apart from being extremely expensive I never agreed to the direct debit and have cancelled it. When you try and call them (no matter what number you call them on) they do not answer, this company is a scam!

Shockingly bad

Igloo are just appalling. We've booked before but it's dropped in standard significantly. We are due to travel in a few days to find out that NO drinks are included in the package and the cheapest option is £1.6k per person. This is in addition to an already expensive trip. If this isn't bad enough there is no way to resolve the issue. No customer service, no manager to discuss your complaint is available to come to the phone. The customer service agent didn't care or prepared to help

Atrocious and condescending - AVOID

Terrible social media manager who was passive aggressive and rude. They felt the need to block me on Facebook because I wanted a heat pump solution beyond Midea based on previous experience with Midea products. Incredibly thin-skinned and unprofessional. Avoid.

Left feeling conned and so disappointed.

I went online to get an estimate for an Air Source Heat Pump, we went through the straightforward initial questions, I was told it would be just over £11000 and with the government grant that would have brought the 6kw heat pump estimated down to around £6000, perfectly acceptable and well within my budget. Went through several steps and finally had a video call to show radiators, windows etc. all the things required to do an energy report. Several days later I received my quote and my £11000 initial cost had risen by over £5000 and was now coming in at £16000 to install a 4Kw heat pump (different to the initial one estimated and lower capacity but still more expensive). I was completely shocked at the increase, I did expect it to be a little higher. In the quote it suggested it would take the installers EIGHT DAYS to fit the pump. Needless to say I felt nothing but conned by Igloo and wasted £50, not much I know, but at the minute, to me, it is a lot. If you go through the process just be aware that the initial estimate could be a million miles away and don’t build your hopes up.

Cheers.

Air source heat pump. V pleased.

We've recently had an air source heat pump installed by Igloo Works, a sister company of Igloo Energy. Very pleased with both the work done and the performance of the system. Had done some basic research and contacted a reference customer so we knew what to expect. They provided plenty of documentation after commissioning, including a step-by-step guide to the RHI scheme application.

We were Energy customers of Igloo and happy with them but sadly they went out of business in September 2021.

I was with igloo since December 2020 .

I was with igloo since December 2020 .. paying direct debts from then on then seen they went bust .. I followed all instructions gave final meter reading didn't cancel the direct debit as they said not to because all detail and direct debits was being transfers over to the new supplier.. at this point they took two direct debits off me of 102.17 totaling to 204.34 that was taken .. all this time my account was already in credit of 117 pound and I read ant credit or payment taken after the 7th October will be transfered to the new supplier but this is false . When it come to my final bill with Igloo my account apparently wasn't is credit they took every penny from me and only credited my new supplier account with 2.55 they are a shambles . I am still trying to get this money back I have asked for every bill statement and I've been ignored .. if you go on your Igloo account everything have been deleted staments and meter readings they know exactly what they've done .. its no surprise they have gone bankrupt I will be taken this all the way until I get my money back this is now causing issues with my new supplier as its made the new account in debit by a very lot ............

Left in a mess

I only found out how poor they were went they went bust I was paying my direct debits as requested and has smart meters installed . When they went bust they failed to provide the new supplier with end readings . Three months in I am still trying to resolve my bills due to the shoddy way they ceased business. Igloo still exist as a business entity in a different field . Very disappointed at the way they have left me sorting out a mess they created.
They requested final readings despite a smart meter being installed and then produced a final bill based on estimates.
I am
Still chasing the excess of £400 bill credit that I had accumulated to assist through the winter. I was then presented with a high bill by the new supplier to cover a shortfall due to the mid management of Igloo. What a mess

Absolute joke of a company

I joined the company in April before they went bust in October. My old energy provider cost around £45 pound a month to rum my small house the offered £39 thought it was a great deal. A month in they put my bill up to £47. When they announced their closure I was pretty much straight fast forward to the final bill and I owe them £972. Crazy accumulation of cost over a matter of weeks. So in the end I have paid over £1200 for 7 months of mainly summer fuel when the bill was questioned I got no explanation. The whole situation was a joke.

Joke of a company

Signed up to Igloo 18 months ago. £60 a month direct debit, which was slightly less its predecessor. After a month my DD goes up to £211 a month. This being long before the recent price hikes. They get you in and pump your DD. Shameful. Good Bye Igloo

If we are supposed to have transferred…

If we are supposed to have transferred to Eon next on the 3rd October I still don’t understand why igloo has collected two payments in October and November. Neither company explains exactly why this happens and it’s quite unfair to the customer as now in November I’ll have two payments taken for each company.

CHANGE OVER NOT HAPPY

We were informed by Igloo we would be transferred to EON on 2nd October i gave them my reading as requested. No final bill ???. On 26th much to my surprise a direct debit was taken from my bank I was 141.48 in credit I am now 299.48 in credit. I cancelled my direct debit from my bank so no more can be taken. PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP and return money urgently cannot afford to have the money sat in your account I am a pensioner. Still no Account set up with EON yet. So worried a large bill will appear at some stage. As I understood it would be a smooth change over.

Credit from final bill not received

I switched energy to sainsburys energy at the end of August before igloo ceased trading. My final bill states credit will be direct debited to my bank account on the 15th October. As of today 22nd October £98 credit has still not been received by my bank. Cannot contact igloo directly on there website regarding this. Can someone contact me regarding this?

People people MOVE NOW

People people, shame Igloo has gone. We were all a little disgruntled but it wasn't their fault!

However, those of us who were customers, MOVE NOW from E.On and do not believe any of their nonsense. You should have had the email by now that Ofgem have appointed them and E.ON say you can't move from them until all gone through. It's NONSENSE and NOT true. Their tariffs are ridiculously high. They won't tell you this but check them out. Just moved to Utility Warehouse OVER THE PHONE not Net. It is obviously more expensive than Igloo, but way cheaper than E.On. It will take 2 weeks. DON'T get trapped for a month with E.On getting slapped on tariff. You can move now! Do it!! Or whoever else you chose!!!
