I bought the RoR Expressive MIDI Bass in July 2025 and it has quickly become one of the most inspiring instruments I have ever played.
Every detail feels carefully considered and the technology inside gives you full control over the entire MIDI mapping.
As bass players we know how hard it is to achieve accurate tracking, especially on low notes, but this bass delivers instantaneous tracking and offers enough onboard settings to tailor the response to your playing style.
Even without the MIDI features you are left with a high end passive Jazz Bass. It has a brighter voice than a classic Fender thanks to its ebony fingerboard and the neck feels thinner and noticeably smoother under the fingers.
There is another aspect that deserves real attention:
During the three months between my order and the delivery, the human connection with the team was exceptional. From the assistance to the guided setup sessions everything felt personal and genuinely supportive.
We had calls where they gave me practical advice on parameter settings and we even discussed potential future features that could make the instrument even more versatile.
