My experience with UpLead has been great. The accuracy of their data is something that has outperformed other lead scraping tools for me and the platform is extremely easy to use and navigate for someone that is not very tech savvy like me.

Simple, fast effective way to get verified contact inforamtion

The lists I’ve created are really low quality.
Many of the companies no longer exist, and many of the contacts don’t match the filters I set — they’re in irrelevant roles. It’s forced me to go through every single contact manually and delete at least half of them.

What’s meant to be a time-saving tool has turned into hours of extra work, and I’m now sceptical about the quality of the remaining leads. The interface also feels clunky and unintuitive.

UpLead has become an invaluable part of my sales workflow. UpLead has become my go-to resource for finding key contacts at companies that we want to pursue to become business partners with us. We are a B2B media company so we are constantly dealing with new companies entering our markets. These range from very large corporations to small upstarts. I count on UpLead to help me find who to connect with and to provide good contact info for them.

Guys, don't trust this company. They take your payment data, store it, and use it. Then, you can't change or delete anything because they don't have a billing tab to properly manage your own information unless you get on a plan. The bank saved me by blocking UpLead, but I do recommend all of you to be super careful with them, since they are not transparent about their transactions and the way they manage your payment information. They don't work with proper tools for checkout, like Stripe. Please, be aware!

We have been using UpLead for about 3 years now. This platform is super easy to use. I use it to verify email addresses when we do email blasts that have bounce backs and also to find new contacts within the same company. I appreciate that there is not credit charge for an invalid email. UpLead is also quite a bit cheaper than their competitors and for a small business we appreciate that.

Edit: their customer service and their CEO, Will, were very responsive and processed the refund the same day. I appreciate the swift action but having more renewal reminders and opting people into monthly payments by default instead of annual would be great. Even better not to ask for CC like Apollo does and just end your credits the moment you finish your free trial.

this company is a fraud!! Charged me $890 without a warning and their website doesnt even work or has a phone number to call..

The accuracy of the data and ease of my accessing it is what's most important to me - and they truly deliver

I’m a business owner running outbound campaigns and was genuinely interested in trying UpLead. I signed up for the free trial to evaluate the platform. What I didn’t realize, and what UpLead never clearly states, is that the trial automatically converts into an annual subscription charging nearly 900 dollars once the trial ends.

There is no clear warning, no opt-in, no message saying you are about to be billed for a full year. It is buried deep in the settings. If you don’t manually switch it to monthly, you will be charged almost 900 dollars upfront. That is not a normal free trial. That is a trap.

Even worse, once you pay, they run on a credit system that charges you per lead export. I ran one clean search and found that accessing more than 500 leads would cost hundreds of dollars on top of the base fee. So the subscription itself doesn’t even give you usable access. You pay to get in, then pay again to actually use the product.

When I canceled, the cancel option was hidden under something called advanced settings. I received no confirmation email and had to follow up with support to make sure the cancellation actually worked. That’s not poor design. That’s intentional.

I came in ready to pay if the platform delivered. Instead, I was met with hidden billing, misleading UX, and a pricing model that makes no sense. This is not a serious business platform. It’s a trap built around catching people who aren’t looking closely. Completely unacceptable.

Great system and great training. I was able to jump on this system a short web training from their support person and download a very pinpointed target list with in a day.

We used a competitor to UpLead for about two years, and it was extremely expensive for what turned out to be very average results. The ROI simply wasn’t where it needed to be to justify the cost. So we began searching for another lead generation platform, and that’s when we found UpLead.

Since switching, we’ve seen significantly better results at a much more economical cost. Our ROI has improved dramatically. As our company continues to grow and become more complex, I genuinely can’t see us moving away from UpLead anytime soon.

Their customer service has been outstanding, responsive, transparent, and easy to work with. The onboarding process was simple, and their contracts are clear and straightforward. The platform itself is user-friendly and intuitive, even for those who aren’t particularly tech-savvy.

I wouldn’t change a thing about our decision to switch. If you’re considering moving to UpLead, I highly recommend leaping sooner rather than later.

Uplead is super easy to use and the amount of information available for each contact is impressive. Their support is awesome, just an email away and very responsive.

The tool is easy to use and the pricing is transparent. It's pretty intuitive but they also offer a personalized introduction with live Q&A. I was pleasantly surprised to learn their online help was an actual person and not a bot. Ideal for our small business.

I use Uplead daily, hourly actually as I am in sales and most of my work is done on the phone. If I find a company I want to entice, I look them up in Uplead and the throw up the entire list of employees with titles and CELL PHONE NUMBERS. These numbers are often hard to get but they are the only way to easily reach my target market which are biz dev, sale managers, marketing folks-anyone who would make a decision on purchasing a booth or sponsorship. Since I've been using salesforce, the time I spend on research has cut way down, giving me more time to actually call and talk with decision makers. It is also great for finding lists of obscure folks such as "facility managers in public sector". Point being its very worth the money invested. Service is also good. There can be some problems with bad phone numbers, but they always give me a credit when that happens.

Don't bother, they're scamming you.

They won't tell you that they plan on charging you for a YEAR of the service ($890) during your trial, but they WILL in fact charge that and no they do NOT provide refunds under any circumstances.

This company is ranked in my top 5 WORST software platforms / companies I've ever interacted with. The product is mid, but the company is clearly out to scam people which I genuinely just don't understand.

Because I tried to report their fraudulent charge to my bank, they locked me out INDEFINITELY from my account that I paid $890 to be able to access... (it's been months and I've never been let back in).

Crappy product and HORRIBLE company. Seriously, look elsewhere.
